Rini was floating in the heart of the Dark Crystal on Nemesis. Death Phantom was watching her with satisfaction. He said it was finally time to plunge the world into darkness.

Luna and Artemis were watching the Black Crystal on Earth. Energy from the Dark Crystal was passing through a portal in the sky and being absorbed by the Black Crystal on the ground. The gateway between the two worlds continued to grow as more energy was transferred. Luna wondered if the Scouts had been able to rescue Rini yet.

Artemis said that if they couldn't get Rini back, the gate would open and the Dark Crystal would transfer it's full energy from Nemesis. If that happened, Artemis warned, the Earth would be destroyed.
