The evil professor made a phone call from his dark underground lab. It was answered by a woman in a similar lab, "Hello, this is Witches 5." The professor's call was transferred to a red-headed woman with glasses named Eudial. The professor said he had read Eudial's report and agreed with her plan. Eudial said that the next target would be a pure-hearted girl who was a taiko virtuoso [Taiko is a type of Japanese drumming].	The professor said he would make a daimon specially suited for the mission. A strange machine put the energy from a daimon egg into a taiko drum. The machine flashed with electrical discharges and then a box came out with a black star stamped on the side. A conveyer belt transported the box into Eudial's white station wagon and another conveyer belt carried the car out of the secret hideout. The car came hurtling out of a subway station onto the street and Eudial drove like a maniac.
Meanwhile, in Juuban shopping district... Serena was telling the other girls that she wanted to go to the summer festival. Mina and Lita thought it was a great idea and they all begged Amy to let them take a day off from studying. [Meanwhile someone was bicycling down the street at high speed]. Amy considered and said it was okay. Mina and Serena were overjoyed, but Lita was wondering where Raye was. Amy wondered why Raye said they couldn't have their study meeting at the shrine today.	Raye zoomed past on her bicycle and crashed to a halt. She didn't even notice the other girls as she rushed into a nearby cafe.
"Hmm", Usagi and the others looked suspicious and quickly snuck into the cafe behind her [their feet didn't move, they just "slid" into the coffee shop with a cute sound effect - very funny!] Raye rushed over to where a girl was waiting and apologized for being late. The girl said she hadn't been waiting long.	Raye looked very anxious. "Two girls" observed Mina suspiciously. "It's not a date," said Serena. "You can't tell by looks," said Mina, "Haruka is a good example."
Lita agreed, "could this be the opposite of Haruka... a man dressed up as a woman?" "I can't see them that way..." protested a blushing Amy. "Hmm, but we can't hear what they're saying..." complained Serena.	"So please, I really need your help Miss Tono," Raye was saying. Suddenly, something caught her eye...
