Episode 107: "Art is an explosion of love! Rini's first love"

Based on the fan-translations by Valirianus Lam and Hitoshi Doi.

Serena was hunting around in the kitchen. "There's nothing good here," she groaned. Then Serena looked in the oven and saw an apple pie, just about done. A gleeful expression spread across her face.

"Did you make this yourself?" asked an astonished Artemis as Serena presented the perfect looking pie. "It was in the oven," replied Serena "I guess Mom must have made it for us." Raye said since that was the case, it would be safe to eat. Amy added that they wouldn't want to get food poisoning just before their exam. Serena grumbled about their insults but soon everyone was busy enjoying the pie.

Rini came into the room. "Serena, what happened to the pie I made?" Everyone looked embarrased. Raye said it was Serena's fault and that she would punish her in the name of Mars. Raye flicked Serena with her finger and Serena fell over. "Betrayed!" moaned Serena. "You ate the pie I made for Masanori!" wailed Rini. "Who's Masanori?" asked Serena suspiciously. "Uhh, I've got to go now," stammered Rini, "but I expect fair compensation from you Serena, for my pie!" Amy wondered why Rini had left and Serena said that she was going to her art class. She said Rini had become interested in sculpting and made some friends there. Luna said it sounded like Rini had found someone who was more than a friend.
Then the girls wondered what they should do with the rest of the pie. "It's no use to leave just a few pieces!" They quickly finished the rest of the pie and said that Serena would have to deal with Rini.

When Rini got to the school, she was excited to see Masanori, but she immediately noticed that something was going on. Rini hid behind some garbage cans and watched. Masanori had a bouquet of flowers and looked very nervous. He seemed to be waiting for someone. [Michiru's background theme music started to play softly...] Michiru arrived, wearing a beautiful pale blue dress with a broad ribbon around her waist. Masanori asked her to accept his gift. "Red roses?" Michiru was surprised. "It's the flower of passionate love," said Masanori. Rini was shocked!

"I see," said Michiru kindly and she gave Masanori a little thank-you kiss on the cheek. Rini could hardly stop herself from screaming. She knocked a pop can over and Michiru saw her. "Oh, you're here too Rini," said Michiru, "Well, we'd better get to our classes now." Masanori followed Michiru into the art school with a happy, dazed look on his face. Rini said she wouldn't let Michiru win!

Rini wasn't happy with the way her sculpture was going. Masanori asked her what she was making and she said it was the Sacred Cup. She said she had seen a picture of it in her mother's room. Masanori made some changes to Rini's sculpture to help her improve it. Rini though Masanori was really cool.

Luna and Serena were creeping around outside the art school. "Why did I have to come here?" grumbled Serena. Luna said that she had to make up for ruining Rini's plan to give Masanori the pie. Serena looked in the window and was pleased to see Rini and Masanori talking. She said to Luna that they seemed to be getting along fine. Serena looked in another window and saw that Michiru was working at the same art school.
