Luna- She first appeared in episode one when Usagi rescued her from some boys. Usagi pulled a bandage away from Luna's forehead and low and behold there appeared a cresent moon. Even stranger than that the cat then began to talk. Luna is Sailormoon's advisor, she gave Sailormoon her powers in the begining of the series, and awakened Usagi, and the rest of the Sailor Senshi's memories at the begining of R. In the Sailormoon SuperS movie Luna dreamed about becoming a human because she fell in love with one who took care of her when she became ill. In the manga however she really did become a human, along with Artermis and Diana.
Artermis- Artermis first appeared on episode 33, the same episode as Sailorvenus. (It's an earlier episode in the NA version.) He is Sailorvenus's guide and was also in the Sailor V manga. He found Sailorvenus as well. Artermis has a more sarcastic edge than Luna does. But both he and Luna care for the Senshi very much and try to look out for them at all times. Both cats serve Queen Serenity in the Silver Millenium and were sent by her to the future along with the rest of the Senshi to help them out. He and Luna have a sort of romance going on.
Diana- Diana is the pet of Chibi-Usa and came back from the 30th century with her in Sailormoon SuperS. She is the daughter of Luna and Artermis, and is very kawaii! Just like Luna and Artermis, Diana's name is that of a goddess of the moon from Roman and Greek folklore. Fitting isn't it.
