Mizuno Kouichi is a classmate of Karin. He has short blue hair.
Many girls such as Kaoru and Karin have crushes on him, but he is very insensitive to the girls' feelings toward him. His favourite, and his crush, turns out to be Buurin.
He was rapidly turned into a die hard Buurin fan when she first appeared. It does not take long for Kouichi to fall in love with Buurin, and go far enough to write her a love letter. This annoyed Karin very much because she wants to win Kouichi's heart as Karin, not Buurin.

Yamakawa Masami is a classmate and closest friend of Karin. She has short green hair, and wears an eyeglass. She is bright, but a little boyish. But she is pretty, and our fellow Ton-chan once had a crush on her too!
As a close friend, Masami often encourages Karin in love matters and others, and will sometimes even help her out in the process.
Masami has a special feeling towards Kashiwagi: she can be harsh to him and hit him hard but, at the same time, he is the one she likes.

Kashiwagi Hiroumi is a classmate of Karin and Kouichi. He is the closest friend of Kouichi, and they are always seen going along with each other on treasure-hunting ventures. He is to Kouichi what Masami is to Karin. He is in the school's soccer team together with Kouichi.
Kashiwagi is best known for his adventurous spirit and occassional mean comments. He is also interested in strange things such as supernatural powers and bizarre treatments for pollen allergies, for example.

Hidaka Kaoru is the class cutie of Karin's class. Unlike Karin, Kaoru has an inward personality, and the making of a traditional oriental female, but is full of all kinds of fears. Simply put, she is just the opposite of Karin. Kaoru is a pro at cooking, and is the one who has been preparing refreshments for the soccer team, especially for Kouichi, because Kaoru has a crush on him.

Voice: Takagi Wataru
First he engaged in movie making, then astronomy. When he caught a glimpse of Buuringo-sei, he turned to the investigation of Buurin's true identity, a quest which brought Karin a great deal of problems.
Jimmy has sort of fallen in love with Kaoru after a cherry viewing trip. A cherry tree seen in that trip, which blossoms late, cured his "sakura-phobia" caused by his miserable failure in an abacus exam in his earlier years.

Kuroha Keiko is the class prefect of Karin's class, elected to be the president of the school's student council when the gang enters second year.
Keiko is the sole daughter to the owner of the huge enterprise Kuroha Group. She has seemingly inexhaustible resource to show herself off. But Keiko is not welcomed by the others because she is arrogant, gossipy, likes to bloat about her wealth and pries into other's affairs.
Keiko tries madly to date Takuma-senpai's, while Takuma looks forward to be with Karin. Keiko thinks that Karin is also trying to date Takuma, so she would steal him from her. For this reason, and some others, Keiko and Karin always fight.
However, as Keiko's parents is always busy, she doesn't have much chance to be with them. In her huge mansion her two best companions are her pets: an alligator and an octopus.

Mushanokouji Takuma is a senior student and tennis ace at Sei Ringo Gakuen. He is popular among girls in the school (they affectionately call him "Takuma-senpai") so he thinks he is very cool. One among the crowd is Kuroha Keiko, who would work to no avail to win Takuma's heart. Nonetheless all Takuma cared about is his "koneko-chan" -- Karin that is.
