Title: Diet daisakusen! (Quest of dieting!)

The Pig Girl of Love and Courage eats too much so she really grows some fat and is unable to fly. When Kouichi-kun describes her as "putome" Karin decides to go on diet to get slim so as to impress him again. But she has gone too far on this so that she isn't strong enough to answer an emergency call. Before Buurin brought a stranded boy to safety she has to rely on the boy's snacks.

At the "Ton Ton" noodle stand.

Karin was finishing a bowl of noodle very uglily, then ordered another one saying that it was good to have a noodle meal after exercise. Masami, who was with Karin, tried to steer her away from noodles by pointing out the piece of fish slice stuck on Karin's cheek. Masami then wondered how could Karin eat so much. Karin ate that fish slice, saying she didn't know herself either how she could become hungry easily. Masami felt very confused. Karin continued that the fall season is good for a season change, sports, studies, and arts. Karin's next bowl of noodle was ready. Before Karin devoured it she finished off her speech with "for me, this autumn is good for eating!" While Karin was busy with her noodles the stand's boss (a fat lady) commented that "this is the fall when pigs grow the most fat." Masami felt sorry for her friend.

Ton-chan was going to bite into an apple when Karin snatched it. Ton-chan wanted it back but Karin said he was selfish. Then she consumed the whole basket of apples, one by one, while saying that they were delicious. Ton-chan was shocked to see his apples vanish this way. He screamed at Karin who promised to replace them. Then an alert sounded on the Tonpact, indicating a man drowning. Ton-chan screamed about his apples again but Karin shouted back even louder that she had more important things to do.

"Ba bi bu be Buurin!"

Buurin complained that her Run Run Step routine was getting harder every day and wanted to cancel it. Ton-chan said no.

Buurin was flying when she noticed that she was heavier than usual. She was flying so low that she was level with a man walking with his dog. Buurin didn't know why. She tried to jet-propel herself with "Buurin Turbo Power", but she was going too fast. She crashed through a house and came out with an underpant in her face. When Buurin pulled that off she was shocked to see a tree ahead. It was too late for her to steer away or to stop so she crashed right into the tree. Buurin ended up slipping down the trunk upside down.

When Buurin finally got there, she introduced herself, then tried to pull the drowning man out - but she was not going up. The man asked her to be more serious. The Buurin suggested the man to grab her tail, so he did. Buurin still could not go up. Soon after she noticed something was really wrong she was pulled into the water and was going to sink.

Some bystanders pulled Buurin out and pumped the water out of her. When Buurin came to she apologized to the people, still wondering how she could possibly fail to save the man.

At Karin's room she threw the pig nose at Ton-chan for him to recharge it, then saying that having to be rescued by the one she was going to rescue is disgraceful. Then she headed for the refrigerator to fetch a cake. Ton-chan commented that she only knows of eating, then tried to recharge the nose, only to find that it was still fully energized.

In the next morning Karin still had good appetite. When she put on her school uniform she thought that her dress shrunk. When Ton-chan wanted to discuss with Karin about the transformation she found out that she was late and ran out. Ton-chan got very angry at this.

On the street Karin's usual run to school was harder than before. She thought it was either her weight or the increased gravity. She met up with Mizuno. He gave Karin quite a stare that made her feeling uneasy. Karin thought that Kouichi-kun was going to say she is pretty (Kobuta: O-to-me, otome!) but he turned out to say that Karin looked like a pig. (Kobuta: Fu-to-me, futome!) Then he ran to school. Karin stalled, still had her mind over the word "futome" when Masami met up with her. Karin decided to go on diet to make herself slim so that she could impress Mizuno. She went on thinking about how Mizuno will be impressed if her plan worked out. Karin lost her sense of reality and pat on Masami's back heavily. When she recovered she ran to school chanting. Masami stalled thinking that her friend had a brain damage.

At lunch time Kouichi was admiring Kashiwagi's big lunch. Kashiwagi said that his mom knows he eats a lot. Masami stopped by them, asking them where did Karin go. The boys said she was last seen on the field.

On the field Karin was jogging with a Run Run Step when Masami stopped her. Karin told Masami since she had to lower her weight she was not going to have lunch. Masami told her this is not too healthy but Karin thought it was OK if she could impress Kouichi-kun. Karin lost her sense again and gripped Masami tight.

Karin was starving, but she thought her weight should be lower as well. Suddenly she caught some smell. From behind a corner Karin saw Kaoru giving a bag of homemade cookies to Kouichi. Arashiyama-sensei was walking, picking his teeth, and commenting that the take-away lunchbox had become more and more delicious. Karin was looking Arashiyama and thought she saw a potato. (A sign of Karin really starving - she sees what Arashiyama's head looks like) The sensei was of course not too happy being called a potato. Karin switched the topic, saying that it was fine to go on diet for the one he/she loves. When Arashiyama was still thinking about it Nanako-sensei passed by. He had hearts in his eyes as well as some flying over his head. He said he now understood what Karin meant. Takuma appeared saying that he was happy that Karin made herself clear to him. Karin wondered what. Takuma continued, "Didn't you say you are going on diet for me, koneko-chan? It's no wonder I liked you because you are so honest." Karin gave a very strange look on her face.

"Just a moment! (Keiko's theme plays) Oh no! Too naive! You are even more naive than a grade school kid. If you can have a nice figure for your loved ones by dieting, what are the police for?" (Police?) Keiko continued, "A beautiful figure is a gift from heaven and cannot be had by dieting for a few days. (Keiko's rhapsody begins) To keep my beauty, I'm having daily body massage." Then a very Snow White-like scene with the magic mirror appears - of course the subject is Kuroha Keiko. She was grinning so uglily that everyone was finding their way out. When Keiko finished her nobody was around..

(Commercial break)

Karin was very hungry, but she determined to endure until her goal was reached. She dreamt again about Kouichi-kun again. When she was hugging her backpack Kouichi called her back from her dreams. He noticed that her face was all red when her stomach made the Noise of Hunger. Kouichi, seeing that Karin was hungry, gave her Kaoru's cookies for Karin to eat. When he left Masami told her to stop dieting like this. Karin agreed, but she should not eat the cookies either because that was for the soccer team. Masami then suggested a lunch at the noodle stand. Keiko broke in and said, "Once [Karin] starts eating, she will keep eating and eating, and will soon be like a pig!" Keiko flied off laughing leaving Masami staring at her. Karin declined Masami's offer. Karin said she was still full of energy and tried to act so, but her body compromised. Masami was worried.

That night at Kokubu residence, Shinichirou wondered what happened to Karin. Rikako only knew that Karin didn't want to eat. Shuuhei commented that girls at Karin's age have many concerns.

On her bed, Karin felt very hungry. Ton-chan, seeing this, said Karin would soon get sick if she kept on like that. Karin said she would not give up until Kouichi-kun said she is pretty. Ton-chan was doubtful how long she can go. Even though she started feeling dizzy, she asked Ton-chan not to mention food until her goal was reached.

Karin woke up in the middle of her sleep, went looking for food in the kitchen. Ton-chan handed her an apple, suggesting that she should be the Karin she always had been. Karin thought for a moment, then refused again. Ton-chan was disappointed.

Next morning Karin stepped on a scale, shocked to see that her weight has not gone down. She became angry and jumped on the scale. It broke. Rikako called Karin to have breakfast, but she said no again.

On the class she felt weak and dizzy, but she still did not want to give up. She tried to return the cookies to Kouichi-kun, but she looked like a ghost to him, and he was so scared that Kashiwagi's pat scared the guts out of him. Karin tried to stop him, then Kuroha wanted to blew her away with a big fan saying Karin is a big annoyance.

Karin was as hungry as before after school when the tonpact sounded. A boy was stuck on a tree on a cliff. She was so weak, it took two tries to transform.

Buurin said her routine was wasting her strength. Then she took off - then dropped to the ground to her surprise. Ton-chan appeared, teasing her first, then lectured her on her overeating and dieting. The tonpact sounded again, showing a crack in the branch hanging the boy. Ton-chan carried Buurin in the air, still complaining that she was heavy.

In the air Buurin saw the boy, his class, the cliff, and the branch breaking off. Buurin flied off to the class and made a self-introduction. While the children cheered for her the branch broke off. Buurin caught the falling boy, but started acting strange because she was hungry. She thought about eating the cookies, but she didn't want to because it was from Kaoru. The boy offered his share of snacks to Buurin who happily ate them all in the air. She regained strength and took him for a little joy ride before bringing him to his classmates. After the rescue all the children offered their snacks to Buurin too, and she ended up with a bag full of them.

Buurin saw Mizuno and flied down to meet him. When Mizuno asked what her bag contains, it fell off Buurin's back exposing all the snacks. Buurin was very scared because she didn't want Mizuno see her candies. Buurin, as an lame excuse, offered a banana which he happily took. After Buurin cleaned up the mess she returned Kaoru's cookies to him saying that he should keep them to himself. Mizuno offered to share them with Buurin. She had a brain lapse (thinking she is Karin) and said she was getting fat these days. Mizuno said Buurin have to be fat to be cute. Buurin (still thinking she is Karin) caught the word "cute", got overjoyed and flied off in no time.

Karin rushed back to her room, pigging out on all the snacks. Ton-chan said she would soon become fat but she said it's OK because "have to be fat to be cute".

Karin got only one pearl. She said Tonrariaano II is a miser. Tonrariaano II retorted that she was lucky to have one if she need help herself when she is to help someone. Karin got one for she did save the boy. He taught her to have a balanced diet and more exercise (things your parents and so on tell you when you want to go on diet) and said bye.

The count on Pearl Buulet was now 17.

Karin thought she had a good lesson from Tonrariaano II, but she soon got hung up again on Kouichi-kun's words. She laughed out loud on her bed but Ton-chan said he was just praising Buurin. Karin grabbed Ton-chan and shook him hard saying he should not chill her like that.
