Title: Honmei no inai Xmas!? (A Christmas without a true sweetheart!?)

Arashiyama-sensei was telling his class things to pay attention to in their upcoming exam, as the episode opens. All Karin was thinking about was to give Mizuno-kun her hand-knitted muffler as her Christmas present. Masami tried to get Karin to ask Mizuno to a date, but she was too shy to say it even with Masami helping along the way. Finally Masami decided to organize a Christmas party, so that Karin have something to ask Mizuno to while Masami try her best to patch them together. Of course Karin was moved seeing what her best friend would do for her. Also moved was Matsumoto who got invited to a party by girls the first time in his life.

Karin raced out of school, caught up with Mizuno, and asked him to the party at last, but she was turned down by a disheartened Mizuno. When asked for a reason, he simply said he had a date with Buurin. Karin, being very upset with this, said some mean things to him, and ran away sobbing. A while later, something crossed Karin's mind as she thinks Mizuno-kun was lying to her.

Buurin raced back to Mizuno and asked again, this time he said he didn't have any dates, then walked away visibly upset. Takuma was there waiting for Karin, as she return to the school gate, which was replaced by Kuroha after his song. Kuroha was very enthusiastic about Masami's party because Takuma was going, except that she still wanted control over it.

The party ended up being held in Kuroha's hotel. Karin let out a big sigh of disappointment without Kouichi-kun around, while couples were abound. Hidaka, Masami and Matsumoto were not happy seeing their party ended up like that, but Kashiwagi was excited now that he got a chance to be in luxurious places like this. Takuma arrived later riding on a sports car, taking Karin into the hotel right after he got off. The gang followed, but Matsumoto got his head stuck with the closing automatic door.

Kuroha treated her friends to her very own non-alcoholic 'champagne' and a great feast, but they seemed very nervous and puzzled being so inexperienced at western-style dining, leaving them not much choice but to follow Takuma the pro. This did little good for Matsumoto though, as he still managed to sent the steak flying right into Keiko's face, and he ended up being blasted. As if that's not enough, when Keiko finished greeting an ambassador, she saw Matsumoto and Kashiwagi wolfing down their food, with Kashiwagi saying what a fool Mizuno was missing all that great food. Karin overheard that and was upset again.

After the dinner Kuroha brought the gang to a suite upstairs with a harbourfront view. Karin was awed by the view, but again looked dejected without Mizuno being there. Suddenly Matsumoto had his nature calling, and rushed to the toilet. Then Takuma tried to invite Karin to a dance, but ended up being dragged to the room next door by Kuroha. Meanwhile Matsumoto could not relax for his number two in the squeaky-clean toilet.

To help Karin along, Masami brought her to the lobby, and called up Mizuno-kun. Masami managed to get him to wait 30 minutes at the harbourfront park for Karin. She was again too shy to act, but finally decided to run for it, with some encouragement from Masami. Unfortunately the Tonpact sounded not long after Karin made it to the park, showing Matsumoto in very bad shape. She had no choice but to transform.

Meanwhile at the hotel, Kuroha stopped Masami from calling for an ambulance, fearing that would taint her hotel's reputation. Instead she opted to use her own helicopter to fly them to hospital, but it broke down the moment they're ready to go. Just as Matsumoto thought he was ready to say his 'last words', Buurin came and lifted the helicopter, giving everyone a ride; she even piggybacked him on her back into the hospital. Matsumoto, however, asked Buurin to wait as they pass through a toilet, hopped off her back and rushed in. The rest of the gang arrived shortly after, followed by sounds of toilet flushing and Matsumoto re-emerging from the toilet, looking just fine. The incredulous gang went chasing after Matsumoto after feeling being scared for nothing.

Suddenly Buurin saw Mizuno-kun coming out of another room. He first hugged Buurin with a cry of joy, then explained that the prospect of being unable to play soccer, due to an injury, kept him low for a while; but everything cleared up as his doctor said they mistook another file with his, and his leg was just fine.

Mizuno and Buurin walked to a park only to find her gone when he was finished. Karin came out of nowhere, met with him, horsed around a bit, presented her Christmas present at last, and had a romantic little date in the snow.

Karin happily told her stories to Ton-chan, though saying that he wouldn't understand because he's a little child. Ton-chan exposed his fiancee Tonzabesu in an attempt to counter Karin's claim, although he wouldn't show Tonzabesu-chan's picture no matter how hard Karin asked.
