Buurin has been very busy lately, doing anything from clearing roadblocks and catching bank robbers to carrying people around. Buurin never had time to rest with the ongoing applauses, and the pearl count flies straight up to 75.

Karin could not stop grinning when she sees the pearls she collected. Ton-chan asks if she had a personality change, but she just says she is just getting used to be Buurin. Then he says Karin happens to like being Buurin, and she retorts that she only wants to collect 108 pearls to become a true heroine, but Ton-chan still won't believe it. Karin then chases him around the room in anger.

The Tonpact comes alive when they are busy chasing around. He says Karin has collected lots of pearls, and wants her to think about what type of heroine she wants to become. He explains that it's about time to do the preparation, for it will be too late to prepare only when she got all the pearls.

Ton-chan thinks his father is even quicker temper than Karin. He just finishes talking when he sees Karin acting really strange and becomes scared. Karin picks up her chair and goes back to her desk to draw her ideal heroine. Ton-chan sees she could never get it right, took her crayon and draw a pig nose on it. Karin becomes very irritated and flung Ton-chan across the room. He bounces around because Karin tossed him so hard, and got spirals in his eyes. Karin continues her drawing (with one style looks really like Buurin), but she still can't get it right. Every sheet she drew she crumpled up and throws behind her. Ton-chan is busy catching all the paperballs with a bin, but he ends up getting spirals in his eyes again.

Karin finally finished. It is -- Cutey Chao. She tries to call Ton-chan's father. Ton-chan says she could show it when he next drops by, but Karin couldn't wait and bangs hard on the Tonpact. It comes alive cursing, then looked at Karin's picture and says it's just a usual woman and is no match for Buurin for being cool. Nonetheless he still took her design and chews up the paper.

Karin cries with joy for she no longer have to be a fat pig. Ton-chan got it wrong and thinks Karin cries for she can no longer becomes Buurin. Karin wants to start practising to be Cutey Chao by viewing the tapes, but she ended up reverting to a regular Cutey Chao fan. Shuuhei sees this and feels very confused.

Next day in school, Kondou is appealing for students to join his new Cutey Chao fan club. Karin and Masami passed by his booth, and Karin joined without giving it a second thought. Then he says Cutey Chao is the ideal female. Mizuno comes along with Kashiwagi and argues that the ideal female is Buurin. After a quarrel Mizuno decides to organize a Buurin fan club to go head-on against Kondou, pulls out a poster and posts it on a tree nearby. Everyone is unsure why he always carries the poster with him.

In the washroom she smiles at her Cutey Chao fan club membership card. Masami and Kaoru shows her their membership card for Buurin fan club, saying they have joined. Masami adds that there are lots of people waiting to join.

There is indeed a long lineup at Buurin fan club's booth, however Kondou is lonely sitting at his own. Nanako-sensei and Arashiyama-sensei comes along and says they are joining the Buurin club. Arashiyama adds that Buurin really helps a lot of people. Kondou grabs Karin and cries that only Karin stands on his side. Karin meets up with Takuma-senpai when she is trying to escape Kondou. Takuma puts up some cards and asks Karin to pick one for his card game. Karin picks a card and it turns out to be a Buurin club membership card. Keiko comes along playing with a big pile of cards, trying to force Takuma and Karin into her card game and handed them a deck of cards. They seems reluctant. She opens her hand and shows four jokers -- Buurin fan club membership cards! Finally she makes a rope with her cards, ties up Takuma, and drags him along to her next round of games.

Karin is very angry back at home, keeps complaining that nobody knows how she feel. Ton-chan says he knows so and tells her to better just be Buurin. Karin then claims she wants to be Cutey Chao as soon as possible, with determination bigger than a seawave that flushes Ton-chan away. The Tonpact comes alive telling Karin he has finished her costume for her to try out, but she is yet unable to transform. Karin gets so used to Buurin she shouted "Ba Bi Bu Be" before the Tonpact transforms her.

After a flash Karin takes on the look a feel of Cutey Chao. She opens up her closet and is overjoyed to see her really turns into Cutey Chao, and executes a Cutey Chao intro sequence. Finally Ton-chan's father lets her go out and try to fly around.

Jimmy is practising his abacus math on the street. Suddenly a shadow flies across over him, then he forgets where he is at. Soon after he starts over the shadow goes across the sky again, and he becomes confused. The shadow keeps shuttling over his head, then be becomes really scared, saying the hot day makes him unable to think straight.

Karin as Cutey Chao pops her head out from a big coat, complaining that Tonrariaano II wants her to fly around all secretly and wrapped up hot. He says if she is exposed without a grand debut, her fame would drop. Karin got hung up about "debut" and says it doesn't matter then. While she is enjoying Ton-chan's father says to his son that his training goes well, and should soon be able to graduate and return to Buuringo-sei, fulfilling his wish. Ton-chan looks depressed. Karin runs to him saying the costume suits her, but Ton-chan pushes her away, then asks her if she really hates being Buurin. Ton-chan leaves upset when he hears Karin answer yes, even the father can't stop him.

Ton-chan is throwing pebbles besides a river. Masami, Kouichi and Kashiwagi sees Kondou nearby spreading his flyers for Cutey Chao fan club. Ton-chan can't stand it anymore, dashes to Kondou, took his flyers and runs away. They all chases after Ton-chan for the flyers, not noticing that the weather is getting bad. Ton-chan says with tears he wants to throw these things away.

Karin and Tonrariaano II are looking for Ton-chan around a shrine when the sky is all dark. They see Kondou and others chasing Ton-chan nearby. Kondou stopped in front of a shrine, noticing that his flyers are all stuck up on a tree besides it. As rain and thunder comes suddenly he and the others have to take shelter in the shrine. As Karin approaches it the tree got struck by lightning and split in half, falling right on the shrine. Karin takes off her coat and goes to save them.

Kondou hears Karin's voice, and sees Cutey Chao trying to hold the tree up as a flyer flies off. Mizuno and the kids can't believe it. Kondou hints Chao to use her killer attack, but she could not. Karin asks Ton II why, he says all functions except flying is not ready. Karin isn't strong enough to push up the tree and it keeps coming down on the shrine. Ton-chan is scared. Kondou, Kashiwagi and others continue yelling for help. Kouichi says Buurin would help them. Ton II tells Karin to find a chance to transform. Ton-chan jumps up to Karin with a bamboo pole, telling her to transform while he keeps the tree from falling down. He tries so hard his face turns red.

"Ba Bi Bu Be Buurin!"

Of course neither Ton-chan is strong enough. The tree comes crashing down breaking his pole. Ton-chan thought he would be squished when the tree got stuck on something. It's Buurin with her Run Run Step. She then uses her Run Run Step to put the halves back up. Ton-chan fled as the four peeks their head from the debris. Buurin then hold the two halves with Run Run Step, put glue on both sides of the gap, call on the Run Run Step to contract, and glues the tree intact with help of the Buu-Ribbon. Kouichi, Masami and Kashiwagi cheers, but Kondou is still unsure what has happened.

It's already sunset when the sky clears. Kondou insists that he did saw Cutey Chao in action. Kashiwagi doesn't believe him and says he has an illusion. Masami says it is Buurin who saved them after all. Kouichi of course says there is only one superheroine Buurin.

Ton-chan laughs that Karin has to transform into Buurin to do anything useful. Karin says it is just a test drive, but admits that she could have a closer relationship with Kouichi. Ton-chan takes the chance to say Karin likes being Buurin. Karin denies and still insists that she wants to collect the pearls to be a superheroine.
