Sighting 1: Buurin In the Flesh

Sighting 2: Where On the Bus is Buurin?

I stumbled upon this snapshot on gakei.com, of a bus in Hong Kong carrying a full-body advertisement of a shopping center in an housing estate. The ad was filled with characters with anime series from Nippon Animation, which of course includes Tonde Buurin. Now guess: Where is Buurin? And who are the others?

Sighting 3: Anime North 2002

Andrea Doolan, a long-time Tonde Buurin fan, cosplayed Buurin at Anime North 2002, held in Toronto, Canada in May 2002. I was there, I saw it, and was stoked. And she won Best in Show and a workmanship award for "Best use of a lampshade." Congratuations Andrea!
