I hoping to start a project to promote Kigurumi & Animegao in the Toronto area. It is normally men and women dressed in costume, but they also wear masks to make them more life-like and conseal their identities to the public. Some even wear white gloves and white or beige stockings for their arms and legs to cover up their true skin.
We also hope that the majority of the members are female dollers with more of an anime look on their masks, also known as an Animegao. You can also click here for more info on what Kigurumi is and its popularity in Japan, or here for more info on Animegao, which also has popularity in Japan.
Here is an example of the activities that some Kigurumi fans in Japan do, which includes 10-pin bowling seen on this clip shown below. If this club in the Toronto area becomes a success, there could some fun activities, including bowling, for our members either on the weekend or the evening, with members wearing their Kigurumi style outfits, or dollers. The club can also be fun if someone wanted to meet a special someone, even if they are masked and doesn't say much.
We haven't set a membership fee yet, but you will need to have a Cosplay costume and a life-like size mask or Animegao/Doller mask at your own expense in order to join the club.
Some other ideas for our activites, could include browsing at shopping malls or department stores, going to amusement parks, or attending anime cons.
