Naoko Takeuchi was born on March 15, 1967 in Kofu City, Japan. She was once a pharmachist and has a universal degree in Chemistry. She has done lots of other great anime creations, but the one character that made Sailor Moon come to life was the birth of a sailor named Sailor V.
Sailor V was later known as Sailor Venus. When Sailor V was successful in a Japanese manga, Naoko she decided to add another character in Febraury 1992 named Sailor Moon. A sailor that was devoted to the more feminin audience. Mostly young girls who want a hero for their very own. In March 1992, Sailor Moon became a TV series and her creation made her show go on the air for 4 years and 11 months. Great friends, challenging opponents. Naoko also created other characters called PQ Angels. Check out these images on these remarkable characters, or click here to check her mangas. Her latest creation is Princess Naoko.
Her creation has been dubbed worldwide in many countries and in more than a dozen languages. Naoko even gets a lot of young girls asking to sign her autograph, but only during autograph sessions only! Just look at her with a wide variety of Sailor Moon stuff and the time she visited NASA in Cape Canaveral.
On January 6, 1999, Naoko officially married to the creator of Yu-Yu Hakusho, Yoshihiro Togashi. May their love to each other last forever! Also, some of the Japanese voices from Sailor Moon attended the wedding festivities and Naoko & Yoshihiro went to Spain & Turkey for their honeymoon.
Naoko is also considering creating a new Sailor Moon manga series dealing with the next generation or chronicles of the Moon Kingdom. Will it be successful? Stay tuned! Remember, Naoko creates manga and not the anime series itself.
Thanks again Naoko. You've made lots of Sailor Moon fans of all ages very happy.
