Bali
Bali was the unplanned ending point of my Indonesia eexperience (I had a serious accident) Not much new can be said about this well worn tourist destination. Traditional arts survive but only if commercially viable. Witness the commercialization of temples, dances, even funerals. I found the north coast, especially to the East to be most unspoiled, with people still generous, hospitable. The beaches are not so special. Traffic is not heavy but dangerous. After the accident I got to see an unsual side: justice and police corruption, the dark side of Bali.
