8/10

Gorgeous is the story of a country girl named Bu (Shu Qi) who finds a bottle in the ocean with a message in it. Feeling the need to meet Mr. Right, she travels to Hong Kong to find the person who wrote the letter. Through some unusual circumstances she runs intoa rich playboy named C.N. (Jackie Chan.) She falls for C.N. but, being a business man, he has many things on his mind. Not to mention his jealous rival Howie (Emil Chau.)

Now, if you haven't figured it out yet, Gorgeous is a romantic comedy. This is a genre that Jackie doesn't have much experience in, but as usual he manages to make it work. The chemistry between C.N and Bu works well, and Jackie portrays C.N.'s change of personality through the movie quite well.

As usual we can't have a Jackie Chan movie without some action, and Gorgeous in no exception. There are 2 fights that stand out from the rest. These fights pit Jackie against Brad Allan (Mr. Niceguy, Gen-X Cops.)

Overall I found this movie rathar enjoyable, and if you know any romantics that have yet to see a Jackie Chan film, start them on this one.
