Notice to Meadowview residents, mailed February 20, 2001

February 19, 2001

Dear Meadowview Resident,

Happy 2001!  We hope you had a very happy holiday season.

Recently, the Association Board has received some anonymous complaints.  In order to be fair to all residents, we are writing to communicate the guidelines for handling concerns between residents.

Meadowview of Glastonbury is a community.  First and foremost, as members of a community we have the responsibility to communicate with one another and attempt to address any issues directly.  This is the fairest way for all involved.  If after trying to resolve an issue directly a resident would like assistance, the Association Board can be contacted and is available to work with both parties to find a resolution to the issue.  Anonymous complaints and requests are hard to address and are impossible to adequately address to the satisfaction of all involved.

The primary duties of the Association Board are to manage the common area and manage the budget approved by the residents.  The Board is available to assist in the resolution of disputes between neighbors and clarify issues.  In order to do so, we need to know who the parties are and what communication has already taken place to try to resolve the dispute.  Anonymous complaints will not be followed up on.

If you wish to ask the Board’s assistance in resolving a dispute, please submit a written request and include the following information:

·         Your name, address and telephone number

·         Name and street number of resident with whom you have an issue

·         Brief description of the situation

·         Description of previous resolution attempts.

These requests must be submitted to the Association Board at P.O. Box 321, Glastonbury, CT  06033 or via e-mail at meadowviewofglastonbury@yahoo.com.

So that the community can discuss this approach for conflict resolution, we will add this topic to the agenda for discussion at our next Homeowners Association Meeting.

As noted in the minutes of the November 9, 2000 meeting, Meadowview of Glastonbury is on the Internet!  All Association meeting minutes and budget information are available on our website.  The address is http://geocities.datacellar.net/meadowviewofglastonbury/   If you would like to submit your e-mail address to us, we will notify you of upcoming meetings and send a note when meeting minutes are posted on the website.  If you cannot access the Internet, meeting minutes are available upon request by contacting any member of the Association Board.

Thank you for your cooperation in these matters.  Have a happy and healthy 2001.

 Sincerely,

 Meadowview of Glastonbury Association Board
