My name is Jean Lareau and I am the president of the MeadowView of Glastonbury Homeowners Association. On behalf of the 48 property owners in this development I would like to discuss a couple of issues.

As you probably already know, the executive board of this Homeowners Association has asked Ken Leslie to look into the possibility of having some type of street signs installed on Lenox Drive. These signs such as stop signs, speed limit signs and/or caution children at play were asked for due to safety concerns. This Lenox Drive development currently has over 40 children and we have had concerns about their safety.

I spoke with Ken Leslie on April 20th of 2001 regarding this issue. At that time, Ken Leslie told me that the town was taking a wait and see approach to this situation. There have already been many occurrences of near miss car accidents and of people almost being hit by cars. The residence of this development have made it's very clear to the executive board that the safety concerns need to be addressed.

On behalf of the 48 homeowners in this community, we asked that you please reconsider our request for these traffic signs.

The second issue that I wanted to discuss is also regarding the MeadowView of Glastonbury development. In late November, 2000, I sent a letter regarding landscaping issues for the common areas. This letter was sent to Allen Cohn, Allen Cohn’s attorney, Ken Leslie, and yourself. I have not received any response from anyone regarding that letter. I did speak with Ken Leslie on April 20th, 2001 regarding the status of the outstanding landscaping work and the monies still being held by the town of Glastonbury, from Allen Cohn, in regards to performing the final walk through for the landscaping issues.

Ken Leslie did state that he would be setting up a meeting between the involved parties regarding the final walk through of the MeadowView of Glastonbury development. It's been almost three weeks since I spoke with Ken Leslie and I have not received any updated status on this.

The executive board is concerned with the amount of time that this issue is taking to resolve and also fears that the Town of Glastonbury could somehow release Alan Cohn’s bond without Alan addressing any of the issues that the MeadowView of Glastonbury homeowners Associations have documented. I am including the original letter that documents the issues.
