I took these pictures during several trips to Thailand between
1989 and 1995. Recently I selected the 100 favorite slides from
the thousands of slides I brought home from these trips and had
them burnt on a CD-ROM.
You are free to use these pictures for non-commercial purposes as
long as you don't remove my copyright notice. But if you publish
any of these pictures, I'd appreciate it if you at least
let me know you
used them.
Thanks to the generous enlargement of GeoCities disk space (even for non-paying members), all these slides can now also be viewed in a bigger size (768x512 JPEG, about 50 kB) by clicking on the smaller slides.
Visit the golden temples of Bangkok, and the calm areas where Bangkok still has the flair of a small Thai village.
See with open eyes the beauty of this country and its friendly people.
The old ruins are still alive, and they have a very peaceful flair. Take your time and stroll though (Ayutthaya) or (Sukhothai), watch monks and Buddha statues in the tropical heat.
See (Chiang Mai), the Rose of the North; see the hill tribe people in their colorful costumes, see a little boy ride on a buffalo's back.
See the famous River Kwai Bridge (remember the tune?), or have a day off and float down the river on a raft.
Just lie on the white sand beach with us, sip a Mai Tai, watch the sunset and dream on...
This part of the country may be poor, but it is certainly rich in Khmer culture and abundant in its people's friendliness.
WARNING: This will load close to 100 pictures, so it'll take some time (and memory...)
Select an area of the country and we'll try to locate some photos from that region in Thailand.
No visit to Thailand is complete without trying the delicious and spicy hot Thai Food. Unfortunately, I cannot deliver a "Smell-on-a-Click" (yet), but here are a few links to whet your appetite. Afterwards, try to send me mail, I might just invite you to some home-cooked Thai Curry, if you live around the corner.....
Some Thai (or other Thailand Enthusiasts) sent me mail about these pages, most of them liked them, and some of them even have their own home pages nearby....:
