The youngest of the Tendo girls. Quite unlike the
other Tendo girls, Nabiki and Kasumi, Akane is
extremely tom-boyish in nature. She is not
concerned with boys and prefers to practice her
martial arts than most feminine activities. Its not
she doesn't want to learn these things, its just she
is no good at them. Her cooking has been known to
make people terminally ill (usually Ranma).This girl has a flash-fire temper that flares whenever
Ranma throws even the weakest insult her way. Most
of the time this ends in Ranma getting his head
smashed or getting knocked into some cold water,
but he does sometimes escape her wrath before any
serious injury occurs.Though she DOES clobber Ranma a great deal, it
is obvious she has some feeling for him, but she
has a hard time expressing it, given her stubborn
and tom-boyish nature. To top it off, whenever
she gets even close to showing it, someone or
something interupts her.Some facts about Akane:
- Before Ranma showed up, Akane used to have to fight
with a large group of boys every morning before school.- The boys fought her because Kuno said if anybody
wanted to take Akane out, they had to defeat her in
combat.- Akane used to wear her hair long, until Ryoga's umbrella
cut it off accidentally.- Akane swims like a hammer.
- Akane once dared Ranma into kissing her, but the rest
of the family was found video-taping before it happened.- Akane almost got splashed by water from Yaazuniichaun
(Spring of Drowned Duck) by Mousse.- Akane has seen Ranma naked in both boy and girl form.
- Akane is a bit clumsy at times.
- Akane used to have a crush on Dr. Tofu.
- Akane's brute strength is a bit surprising at times, like
when she lifts up solid wood tables with one hand.
