"The Category III road to fame isn't easy to walk." These are the words of the now successfully famous
Tsui Yeuk Suen.
But she chose this uneasy road. Does she regret the decision now looking back?
Over 20, Tsui Yeuk Suen still looks like a child. She innocently said, "No regrets. I already have walked down the road like this. It isn't like I wasn't rewarded. On the contrary, the reward was great."
The fact is Tsui Yeuk Suen joined this business when she was 13 purely by accident. How could a pristine child have guessed she would easily come to fame in Hong Kong, Taiwan and Japan, even spellbinding the Japanese as a Gaijin?
"I laugh when I remember the day when I joined the business. Siu Fu Dui (Lit: Little Tiger Team) was looking for a young female member. My classmate registered for me as a joke. I thought fooling around wouldn't hurt, so I just let them be. Because I didn't intend to participate, I didn't prepare beforehand. On the day of the competition at the TV station, playing happily was my performance and it wasn't serious at all. With such a dismal attempt, they surprisingly selected me."
Just like that Tsui Yeuk Suen's childhood as well as her future was changed.
"Since I was selected, my family didn't object to me joining the business. At the time work was a lot of fun, it was like fooling around. Only the time when rumors about me and Nicky Wu (Ng Kei Lung) surfaced made me a little unhappy."
At the time Ng Kei Lung was a Siu Fu Dui member. The record company recruited the Youth Girl Team because of them. Since they were all in the same organization and they were all young people, naturally it was easy for them to get along.
She too said, "I like to play too, but Ng Kei Lung and I are just friends. On top of that when I was 13, I already had a boyfriend."
Tsui Yeuk Suen's first love occured around this time too. Her lover was a high school classmate..
Speaking of this first love, Siu Suen blushed, "It is the past, it is better left unsaid. Now I only want to concentrate on work and not think about dating."
So what's the big deal?
Siu Suen finally gave in, "It was happy! But actually I was young then, I didn't know what love is, I only thought I was happy when I was with him, and he really cared for me."
Isn't what Siu Suen said love? Now she should be able to tell the difference?
"So what? I still won't date. In my eyes now there are just two words, making money, there is no room for a word like relationship."
Siu Suen looks like a teenager, but she is already over 20. Because of her innocent and young face and her devilish body, she did two photo collections in a row which enchanted many Japanese fans. After stepping down the Category III road, Siu Suen gained even more fame and fortune, but her feelings behind it was like she said before: this road isn't easy to walk.

In many people's eyes the entertainment field is a big dye pool, but among them there are plenty of loving children.
Siu Suen said, "Loving parents is something children should do. I have been in the business for 8 or 9 years now. Although my family's life has improved, I still couldn't buy a house to let them live more comfortably."

Siu Suen gave all the money she has earned over the years to her Mommy for management. She herself isn't too clear on how much is needed to buy a house. "I don't know how to manage money, but I know buying a house needs a lot of money. If I choose to live in the Taipei area it will be even more expensive, over T$2000 at the very least."
How large of a house does Siu Suen want? She said, "There are 5 of us in the family, I want to buy a 2,400 sq. ft. unit. We have always rented our houses, hoping someday we can own our own place. Now I only want to concentrate on work and won't consider dating."
How far is Siu Suen from achieving that goal?
"At least three years. Now I really worry about no one will sign me ......" Why would Siu Suen have such a worry?
She said, "Because I am not a newcomer anymore. My price isn't like it was before. I worry it will scare away those who want to sign me. Recently the Japanese management agency renewed my contract, although the figure is higher than before, if my price continues to rise, I will be in big trouble if no one wants me."
Not being famous has its problems, but seeing Siu Suen's situation, being famous also has its share.
"I am not a newcomer anymore. My price isn't like it was before, I worry that it will scare away those who want to sign me! Japan's newcomers rise quickly, with their lower prices, I really worry that someday no one will want me."
Then has Siu Suen thought about a third photo collection to stir up the pot?
She said, "I don't think so. My managers don't agree with that, plus it already has been done and lost its freshness."
That's true, Siu Suen's photo collections already showed everything and her bottom line has already hit the extreme, if another one is made what will be the selling point?
She agreed, "I know, from now on I have to do better at work."
It looks as if Siu Suen is there. Her popularity still isn't bad in Japan. Recently she made a Japanese movie, and a famous Japanese producer has approached her with record offers.
"But it still isn't settled. I still have to explain the rumors that he only approached me because he is courting me. That isn't true, I am afraid that the matter will get worse."
Siu Suen worries about this opportunity and her future, she doesn't want any gossip to happen to her. When asked if it was difficult being tied down by work at such a tender age, she said, "No, I only feel I have accomplished something."
