Business Proposal (Part 6)
By: Hunter
Norman sat down at his desk talking to the gentleman who said he was part of a company wanting to but Osborn Industry technology.
“Now, Mr. Osborn I would like to buy your artificial life blueprints and money is no object” the man said to an astounded looking Norman.
Norman didn't stare into space for too long, but it did take a minute for Norman to start thinking again.
“Alright Mr.?”
“Call me Stark, Tony Stark”
“Well Mr. Stark I accept your offer, I’m asking eight billion for the plans of the artificial life”
Later that day Norman was gathering up the plans for the artificial life.
“We should do business again soon Mr. Osborn” Tony Stark said as he took the plans from Norman’s hands.
“Yes we should Mr. Stark” Norman replied.
After Tony Stark left Osborn Industries Norman made his way to the Goblin hideout behind the wall in his office, he gathers up the equipment he needs he then puts on the goblin suit and jets out of the ceiling that is slowly opening.
“Now to trap a certain spider,” Norman yells as he jets off towards Peter Parker’s house.
Norman arrives at Parker’s house a few minutes later. He looks into the window and seeing that Peter is alone he bursts through the window.
“Morning Parker!”
“What hell are you doing here Osborn!” Peter yells as he takes cover from a pumpkin bomb
“Oh, nothing really just trying to kill you with a little glamour”
“In that case you won’t mind me fighting back”
Peter jumps into the air and tries to punch Norman but misses pitifully.
“Well Parker I guess the clothes really do make the man”
Norman begins to punch Peter repeatedly.
“Looks like I’m going to win this one”
“Oh no you don’t” Peter said as he dodged the punches. Peter got close enough to punch Norman straight into Norman’s chest.
“Damn you Parker!” Norman screamed. “Your not making this easy you know”
Norman frantically grabbed at a pumpkin bomb that was in his pouch, he threw it directly at Peter. Peter dodged and the explosion and used the smoke screen to change into his costume and run outside.
“Where are you Parker” Norman yelled
“Out here Goblin”
Norman jetted out of the window he broke to get in.
“I’m not in the mood for hide and seek!”
Norman sees a red and blue blur web slinging away from the residential area.
“That is just like Peter always trying to save the innocent,” Norman thought as he jetted after Spider-Man
Spider-Man stopped and turned around at a deserted construction site not realizing that Norman was right behind him.
Norman saw that Spider-Man was stopping and threw a pumpkin bomb straight at his enemy. Spider-Man’s sense told him it was coming but couldn’t get far enough away from it.
“Got you now Peter!” Norman yells watching his opponent fall to the ground.
“Why is that seem to like the ground so much?”
Spider-Man gave no response. Norman realizing this was his chance to destroy Spider-Man thew another bomb this time Spider-Man’s sense told him ahead of time of danger and Spider-Man moved as fast as he could with the pain still throbbing in his back.
The pumpkin bomb had ignited some construction materials and the fire soon grew into a large inferno.
“What’s with you and fires Norman didn’t the last one teach you a lesson,” Peter said throwing an uppercut to a distracted Goblin.
“Ahh!” Norman yelled as he lost his balance and fell from his glider
Spider-Man seeing this took advantage of this opportunity and webbed Norman to the side of the wall.
“You just wait for the police to take you away,” Peter said as he heard sirens approaching
Spider-Man then shot a web-line and started for home to clean up the mess.
“Not this time Parker” Norman said as pulled a razor bat from his pouch and cut through the webbing
Norman fell to the ground and hopped on his glider and jetted towards Osborn Industries. Norman got back to the hideout took off the Goblin costume. He went through the secret door and sat down in his chair.
“Next time Parker” He told himself “Next time”
The phone rang on his desk bringing him back to reality.
“Hello” Norman said picking up the phone and putting it up to his mouth.
“Yes this the mayor, have you thought about the offer?”
“Yes I have mayor and I have to decline I have to much to do as it is”
“I see, well till we speak again bye”
Norman put down the phone. It had been an exhausting few weeks and he was dead tired, he walked out of his office and told his secretary he was going home for some much need rest.
“Alight Mr. Osborn” the secretary said “I’ll see you tomorrow morning, goodnight”
