July 29 - Finished Harry Potter IV. What do you mean the Vth book's not out 'til next year??!! Luckily the movie will be out in Nov. I wouldn't have to wait so long if WB didn't have $$ problems. But since they didn't support Roswell, I don't think I'm gonna sympathize them too much.
July 28 - Watched Planet of the Apes. I sorta expected the ending. (SPOILER WARNING!!!) He should have stayed on the Ape planet. What was he gonna do? His ship had already crashed and thousands of years had passed. It's not likely he could go back in time. Oh yeah, what happened to the Statue of Liberty? We get the Lincoln Memorial instead? Why?
July 27 - Woohoo! My lucky day. I had expected Harry Potter IV to be returned to the library sometime in August. But guess what?! It's mine now! Muahhahaha... Good thing I reserved it.
July 25 - Locked my keys in the house so I walked to work. Not too bad, only took me 15 minutes. No sweat. Just too many cars passing me by. Luckily I don't live far away from work.
July 24 - Been reading summaries of Days of our lives for all 35 and some years. The writers really liked to put people in coma and have amnesias, make random people have affairs, have each character be engaged to or married to at least 3 people in their lifetime, blackmail... etc. But my favorite couple has got to be Shawn and Belle. They're refreshing to watch b/c they're so cute and innocent!
July 23 - I got a library card! But damn Harry Potter IV is out 'til August. Oh well, I'll start on the Lord of the Rings series then. The Hobbit.
July 22 - I made a big bowl of salad. Had honey ham, provalone cheese and tomatos in it. yummm. O.D. on olive oil and balsamic vinegerette.
July 21 - Went clubbing in NYC. Had dinner in Chinatown wearing the dress. Walking down the street in that dress is ok, but walking through Chinatown... I felt like I was wearing nothing b/c sooo many people were looking. The dress wasn't skimpy or anything, but it's less than what I usually wear and too many eyes were following. Should have stayed in the car.
July 20 - Mike's birthday. Gonna bring him to Happy Hour with my co-workers.
July 19 - Went to the periodontist today to get my teeth cleaned. OMG, scary but educational. They took so many x-rays of my teeth too. If you want to get good dental service you gotta go to a periodontist, they clean your teeth so much better than a general dentist. They get it so clean your gums are sore.
July 16 - Work is low. Co-workers are going around asking if anyone needs help. Gotta find clients to bill for the hours they're at work. Good thing I have stuff to keep me busy. Just gotta pace myself and work up my 40 hours a week. I know, some people can't find enough time to do their work and here I am keeping my pace so that I have work to do for the week. Civils.
July 15 - Attempted to clean up the house, but failed miserably. I ended up playing more Zeus and waisting a whole day.
July 14 - Company picnic! I brought Mike with me for company and support. We played b-ball, v-ball, bounced in the inflatable play pen, played rummy, ate cocktail and clams, and just had a good time.
July 13 - Happy hour or stay home? Somehow I lost track of time playing Zeus, (I know, it's no surprise) so I didn't go out to happy hour like I planned. But instead we met up with PAL at Palisades Mall and watched FF at midnight. Good graphics. And those who placed the bets of me running to the theaters when the movie came out? Pay up. I didn't see the movie until 3 days after it came out. I know I know... but I still waited.
July 12 - Harry Potter II was good too. I realize I've been running wild with money on books. Book III is out only on hard cover, and paperback isn't out 'til September. Yeah it's only $7 more, but I think I'll pace myself and just read it when September comes around.
July 11 - Read through the first Harry Potter book. Pretty good. Getting the next one. Reading the first one over until I have the chance to go to Borders again.
July 9 - Ooohh... After reading Roswell stories online for the past month or two, I finally decided to buy the book Loose ends. Finished the book in 3 hours. Damn, why do I read so fast? It was a good book though. Next book: Harry Potter. =)
July 7 - Met up with Ann at Palisades Mall. It's been so long since we've chatted. We also saw A.I. there too. We ate LOTS of popcorn. heehee. Good movie. Wierd ending.
July 4 - Happy Independence Day!! What have I been up to? Eh... nothing. Visited my dad and watched his 500 cable channels. Still nothing good on TV.
July 3 - Grr... stupid telephone company and their calling plans... I've been dialing up to a number that's not in my TINY local calling area. So I have a $200 telephone bill now. GRRR. Stupid Verizon hours... For all the money I'm paying they should be working 24 hrs a day. =(
