Kyousuke is dreaming that Hikaru is dying. They're sitting on a park bench and she's
slipping away from him. He runs after her and reaches her, only to wake up tightly hugging
Jingoro and yelling her name. Kurumi and Manami come in, surprised at his actions.
At breakfast the family has a laugh over Kyousuke's dream. He's still upset by it. His
dad adds that their mom sometimes had prophetic dreams, and after all, Kyousuke is her
son.
On his way to school, Kyousuke wonders if this might have been a prophetic dream. He
remembers when he was young he dreamed about wetting his pants at kindergarden and the
next day, that exact thing happened. Lost in thought, he mentions Hikaru's name. Yuusaku,
who came up behind him, ``wonders what about her,'' but Kyousuke says nothing and runs off
to school.
Kyousuke is by the shoe lockers, still thinking about the dream, when Hikaru runs up
and greets him. She doesn't like being apart, ``I missed you so I could have died.'' These
words don't reassure Kyousuke and he asks if she's ok. She says she's fine, she still has
her appendix and offers to show him the proof. Madoka comes up just then, seeing the two
like this she comments that maybe she should have come a bit later. Hikaru begs Kyousuke
to join her for lunch, she made special sandwiches for him. He agrees because of the
dream, disappointing Madoka.
He laments the trouble the dream caused, remembering yesterday at Abcb. Madoka asked
him to have lunch together today. He promised to do so, and he recalls that's the first
time that he saw Madoka's shy, honest smile, and remembers her happy laugh. In class, he
realizes he better apologize to her, but she's in an impossible mood.
During break, Komatsu and Hatta are watching the twins play a cross between soccer and
basketball. Kyousuke notices Hikaru is also playing and doing well. She steals the ball
from Kurumi and scores a goal. He becomes very concerned when he she collapses on the
ground in front of the goal. He grabs Komatsu's binoculars to see better, and is relieved
to see her get up, she was only kidding. He's embarrassed to have tangled up Komatsu and
Hatta in the binoculars' strap though.
Hikaru is changing in the locker room afterwards. Kurumi tells her about Kyousuke's
dream, and now Hikaru understands his question this morning. She's delighted at his
concern for her and giggles at a new idea, leaving Kurumi confused.
At lunchtime, Komatsu and Hatta are trying to defend the twins in the mob to get ``the
elusive cutlet sandwich.'' The fellows come out of the fray roughed up. Kurumi and Manami
were successful. They run into Kyousuke and tell him that Hikaru went home sick after gym.
Kyousuke heads off worried, only to run headlong into Yuusaku, who gives him a knuckle
sandwich in return as a confused Madoka looks on.
Kyousuke is dragging Madoka along, worried. When she finds out he's headed to Hikaru's
house, she takes her hand back and stops cold. She wonders why she has to go, just because
Hikaru left early. He sounds like Hikaru might die. Madoka doesn't think so, saying, ``We
haven't kept secrets from each other since we were kids,'' continuing, ``Right Darling?''
in a perfect imitation of Hikaru. She stops when Yuusaku comes up with a bag of cutlet
sandwiches. He gives one to Madoka, who suggests that Kyousuke wants to go somewhere
together with him and leaves. Kyousuke figures this is pay-back for this morning.
Hikaru's at home, enjoying her time off and happy about her plan, not looking at all
sick or injured. Her mother gives her some medicine then leaves, worried. Hikaru takes
several of the capsules, figuring they can't hurt. After her mom leaves, Hikaru becomes
visibly happier, imagining a concerned Kyousuke coming to her bedside. The doorbell rings
and she rushes to see Darling. She's disappointed to find Yuusaku. At school, Kyousuke has
been decked by Yuusaku and left with the sandwiches. He angrily takes a bite from one.
Yuusaku is carefully nursing Hikaru, having prepared a feast and working on hot soup.
She's not much interested in this, but is excited when the doorbell rings. She grabs
Kyousuke, drags him inside and starts feeding him. Hikaru doesn't act sick until Kyousuke
comments she looks ok. She then goes back to playing sick, while Yuusaku chews on the
kitchen utensils in anger.
After school, Madoka arrives for work at Abcb. It's a slow day, and she has lots of
time to think while cleaning up. Master comments that maybe it would be better if she was
busy. He laughs, noticing that she's in a bad mood today. She wonders what's gotten into
Kyousuke, and isn't pleased.
Hikaru has gone out with the two concerned guys. She's enthusiastically getting into a
video game. When it finishes, she almost collapses, realizing that the medicine she took
is making her sleepy. The three head over for hamburgers afterwards. Yuusaku leaves
Kyousuke to pay the bill, but then drops the tray in shock when he sees Hikaru passed out
at the table. Yuusaku wakes her up, but she asks to sleep in a quieter place, ``I want to
be alone with Darling.'' She falls into Kyousuke's arms, and a tearful Yuusaku goes off to
make sure her ``last wish'' is fulfilled.
Hikaru and Kyousuke are sitting on a park bench. She's telling him she can't take it
anymore and that she won't make it. He's worried that this is just the same as in his
dream.
While shopping for Abcb, Madoka runs into Kurumi and Manami. They tell her about the
dream Kyousuke had. Now she understands why he's been acting so strange all day. Kurumi
adds that she told Hikaru the dream and she was elated. Madoka figures out that this is
why Hikaru's acting the way she is. They hear the noise of a traffic jam outside.
Leaving the store, they find the street crowded with people. Yuusaku is blocking them
all from going into the park. The three make their way through the crowd. Madoka asks
Yuusaku what's going on and he collapses sobbing into her arms and tells her.
On a park bench, Kyousuke tells the unconscious Hikaru that he can't live without her.
She wakes up, happy, and says she can't either. Just then, they notice the four have come
up behind them. Yuusaku has a bucket of water, and when Madoka answers his nod with a
wink, dumps it on the two. Kyousuke runs off wet as Madoka says, ``Why don't you two wake
up?''
Everyone is gathered at Abcb afterwards. Hikaru and Kyousuke both sneeze from the
dousing they received, and everyone has a laugh over the incident. Kyousuke realizes that
he really does have the power of prophetic dreams.
