Shin Kidou Senki Gundam Wing

Gundam Wing or G.W., a 49 epesode series, was released by Sunrise on 1996. Like its other preceding Gundam series, it does have its share or glitzy mechs and Federation VS Colony sort of story. The only difference is that its makers have finaly decided to go along with the flow, having teenage boys piloting the mechs. This was probably one of the reasons why it gained so much popularity.

In order to completely understand the whole story, I suggest that you read a little something I compiled about the basis of the Federation-Colony conflict, which is based on the original Gundam series. --> Universal Colony 0079

*This short indroduction is based on the sub I watched so I am not completely sure if it is accurate but this is pretty much what it is about.

Generations ago, with a great dream for the future, humankind departed from planet Earth seeking a new life in space colonies. But as time passed by, the World Federation brought the colonies under it's control one after another, using its over military power under the name of peace and justice.

After Colony, Year 195, the beginning of Operation Meteor. It was  secret operation by a few colonies which tried to stand against the Federation. The operation was to secretly smuggle specially camouflaged combat weapons into Earth. However, the operation has been detected by the Federation leaders.

The Vision of Escaflowne

Tenku no Escaflowne or just plainly Escaflowne is a 26 epesode TV series released by Sunrise and was aired last 1996. The show contains a shojo-manga style and knight-looking mechs called "Guymelefs". Escaflowne takes place in a fantasy-styled world called Gaea, a place where dragons roam the sky.

The story begins when a normal high school student (from Earth) named Hitomi Kanzaki gets transported to Gaea. Here, she meets the young king of Fanelia, Van Slanzar de Fanel, who was to be formally crowned that day. After the coronation, Fanelia was attacked by "invisible beasts" and was burned down. Van was made to escape with Hitomi. The two find out that those "invisible beasts" were actually guymelefs belonging to the empire of Zaibach. Van and Hitomi soon gain allies, like the Asturian knight Allen Schezar, Merle the catgirl and the Princess Milerna. Together, they battle the Empire of Zaibach. *I unfortunately have little knowledge of Escaflowne, but I'm currently working on it ^_^

Neon Genesis Evangelion

At the beginning of the new millenium, an angel decended from the sky, causing chaos and wiping out more than half of the human race... In the year 2015, man is currently rebuilding a new life when suddenly, an angel appears... humankind's last hope is the Evangelion.

Released last 1996 by GAINAX, Neon Genesis Evangelion (Shin Seki Evangelion) is a 26 epesode TV series which takes place in the new millenium. The story focuses on Shinji Ikari, a 15 year old boy who is unfortunately made to pilot an Evangelion, a humanoid fighting machine developed to battle the Angels. I unfortunately skipped several volumes, but all I have to say is that... if you need a lot of inspiration in writing something about life, watch the last 2 epesodes.

Most of the grahpics I used for decribing people, places, events etc. were recreated by me and I tell you... it's not that easy... so... all I'm asking is that you link back to my page if you are planning to post them in your own pages ^_^ That's it!!!
