Scene 4...
My heart was broken 2 months ago! It was broken because of "age"!
My family owns a bakery, we're quite busy!
When I was still an OL, I only helped out when there weren't enough helpers around!
We're usually pretty busy, but besides bread we also bake cakes, so on Christmas day in December, it's incredibly busy having to put decorations on 100 cakes!
Thus at the end of the year, we'll usually hire some High School or University students to help out at the shop!
As we have to hire outsiders to help out, as the daughter I even more have to be there! (She thumps her shoulders wearily)
Girl: "It's a total of 2800 yen, thank you for buying from us!!"
Helper: "Welcome!"
But... I didn't help out during last year's Christmas!
I was also influenced by the media, and had a "A Christmas only for 2"!
Girl: (Dang! Dang! Dang! The clock strikes) "That's great~!! It's 10~!!"
Girl: "Everybody~! It's 10~ It's over~ Time to get off work~!!" (Everyone cheers)
Everybody: "Good job~ Everybody, good job!"
Christmas. Even though there are so many cakes, they are not mine, last year I baked one for him, but this year it's "Everybody celebrate Christmas together"!
Boy: "Excuse me..."
Girl: "Coming~" (Girl swivels around)
This guy is the youngest one in the temp workers team!
Girl: (Girl smiles)"What's wrong?"
Boy: "No... that cake..."
Girl: "Cake?"
Boy: "Can I... buy one?"
Girl: "Eh? Sure! Sure! Just go ahead and bring it back! Gonna eat it with your family?"
Girl: "Or with your girlfriend?"
Boy: "No.. please let me pay for it!"
Girl: "It's really okay, after all everybody has worked really hard..."
Boy: "PLEASE LET ME PAY FOR IT!" (Boy huffs)
Girl: "Alright! I get it!"
His new girlfriend, must be around the same age as this guy!
Said she's in the 2nd year of High School, very cute!
That's right, there's nothing with the girl!
But, that stupid man is unforgiveable!
Girl: "Do be careful~! Merry Christmas~!" (Girl bids helpers farewell)
To be the "girlfriend" of someone his age, "him" who has always been very bothered by being 3 years younger than me, when we last met, he had even said to me: "It's still impossible to be with someone who is older"!
It's not like I was unbothered by it! Friends have told me: "Younger people are very troublesome"! Once he has a younger girlfriend, there's no way you can compete! If possible, I also wish that we can be of the same age! But, it's not like I like him for his age, it's just that the person I like is younger than me!
Girl: "WAH!" (Girl turns around in shock)
Girl: "Ah~ I was scared out of my wits! What's wrong? Forgot something?"
Boy: "Would you please... go out with me?"(Boy blushes)
(Girl freezes in shock)
Girl: "WH..WHY? YOU'RE DEFINITELY 17 THIS YEAR RIGHT? I'M 24! GUYS SHOULD LOOK FOR CUTE GIRLS OF THE SAME AGE..."
Boy: "So you're really bothered about the age part?"
Girl: "Bothered? You..."
Boy: "Of course I also wish that we could be of the same age, but..."
Boy: "It's not like I like you because of age!"
Girl: "That's true! It's just that the person you like, is a bit older that's all!"
(Boy passes cake to the Girl, Girl looks on in puzzlement)
Boy: "It's Christmas today... would like to give you the most delicious cake that I know... but of all the cakes that I know, the best is from here..."
Girl: "...Thank you!"
Boy: "Hmmm.. If you're too uncomfortable, I..."
Girl: "I guess it's not just girls who are bothered about age!"
Girl: "Let's eat the cake together! I'll make tea, and as we eat, tell me more about you... other things besides age!"
