In 1988 I began experimenting with superhero adventures using a new system I'd just bought, Heroes Unlimited. This was only my second Palladium game - I already owned the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game, which I'd bought after collecting the comic of the same title. These games were very popular with myself and my friends, and I amalgamated them into a rough-and-ready campaign. Within a few years, I'd mapped out a darkening alternate Earth in which Australia (most of my early adventures were set in Sydney) was ruled by a fascist government. My campaign ran until 1997, when as a result of the break-up of my player group I designed and ran one final game. I have since gone on to other things, but now and again I page through the great mass of notes I prepared over the years, delineating secret organisations, evil plans, and vicious villains. It seemed to me that perhaps others might be interested in the best of what I had written, and I have decided to distill that weight of data into a relatively lean campaign outline. Read it, enjoy it - but don't publish it or sell it without my permission. That's all I ask. My thanks go to all those who played in my campaign. That's a lot of people over the years, but my particular thanks go to my long-time players Andrew and C. Edward Orman, David MacLean, Craig and Allison Lawrie, Francis Polach, Robert Aked, Sonja Pryor and Juliet Eckersley. "How many hit points have you got left? Wrong!" Included in this document is a history of my alternate Earth, descriptions of various organisations, a mass of technology, and some artwork. Everything except the artwork is copyright me, and is a derivative work of Palladium's Heroes Unlimited and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles games. The artwork is copyright C. Edward Orman except where noted. |
