PISIEN.This
two Gawai Chief/priest doing the pisien before the start of
ceremony. Pisien is done to seek
blessing and favours from the Iengs and the spirit of the
ancestors. It is carried out by waving a sacrificial rooster or
hen over the sadih while murmuring
and chanting the Pasa.The Pasa is a free format prayer or
communication to the Iengs. Pisien is usually perform by
scattering the (skapur boras sia) yellow rice around the site to
clear the way for Iengs. Afterward, the chicken is slaughter,
and the blood is shed for the favours or wishes that are
requested. the chicken is then roasted with the feather and
shared among the Gawai Chief/priest.

Traditional Beauty Contest (kumang Gawai) was done during the Pre Gawai Dinner night on the 30th. April 2005, at Dewan Suarah by JKKK Kpg. Stenggang and these lucky beauties was the winner of the contest. Prises were given on that day at Bung Bratak. | SSSRC Kampung sibuluh Camp at Bung Bratak 2005. Our Club SSSRC never missed to cerebrate the Historical Day at Bung Bratak. We all gathered there on the30th. Spent the whole night merry making, singing karaoke and dancing till morning. | Mr. Ik Pahon join us in the afternoon enjoying the taste of "Pancuh" and BBQ at our Camp. | ||
