Let me just say this first. MAgic is a great game and all, but it's no Ani-Mayhem. It's no Star Wars CCG, for that matter. Those two games (SWCCG and AM) have more than just two and three card combos and strategies. Ani-Mayhem has combos and strategies that take more than three cards to get going, and cards that specifically name the cards it wants. Star Wars is pretty much the same. But Magic is different. Magic has it's own distinct way. But it has some advantages. | This is one that I see that makes Magic soooo different than other CCGs. I refer to them as Global Killers. No, not 'Kill everything', more like 'Each player Sacrafices a Creature'. I've noticed that Ani-Mayhem and Star Wars both lack these types of cards. But, you say, that would be boring, if the game had the same features. But, I say, no. Some of the greatest things in life have come because of someone elses mistake. Magic has a few errors, one of the main one is the independacy of the cards. Now, it wouldn't be soo bad if ANi-Mayhem included what magic lacked, plus some of what magic had. It could be sumed up in one word: better. It would simply be a better game. So back to global killers. In the next expansion(If there is one), I hope to God they make something like this. Mabey something like 'Each player kills one of their Characters for each Item they have', or 'Each player takes the Character with the highest attack+defense they control and kills it'. It would prove to add more strategy to the game. Small Character decks would grow in popularity. Big Characters would stay under check. And Dr. Tofu would become, um, even more increadibly powerful. So what the heck am I trying to bable out? I'm just sayin that the card companies should grow off each other, and make better games for us to play. So, are you listining Pioneer? Probably not. But they should be =). |
