Hohan Soken Sensei 1972

The above photo was almost an every day picture in Hohan Soken's Dojo.  The window to his left, was his personnel entrance to dojo.  This window sill is also where  one day, his crane experience was applied.  Hohan Soken loved showing his Seito from Yozadake letters, magazines etc., periodically.   Well one day as usual he would step upon sill with his right foot first,  he right foot was pretty well planted as it seemed, he steps over with his left foot  well into his bedroom.  By surpise his right foot slipped into the dojo, and downward, a little.  Yet he looked like a High Jumper, while  his left foot remained  in the bedroom and followedthrough immediately with the right.  His Gi did not even touch the window sill that day.  What a surpise to these  young American G.I.'s.  Talking with Melchior Tecson Sempei this past Janurary,  he also recalls how we werel amazed of the happenings that day......
