During the peak of her career in 1989, Priscilla announced that she would quit her singing career to go studying in America, and released her "final" album, which sold more than 350,000 copies, winning the "Album of the Year" award. While she was studying in America, she made a few music television programs in New York and Syracuse during the summer of 1993, only occassionally releasing an album as a part-time singer (approximately one album a year). Her fans begged her to come back singing, and so she decided to release one more major album, "Please Come Back," which sold more than 100,000 copies. Due to the popular demand, she decided to return to the singing industry in 1995, after she received her Degree in Psychology from the University of Syracuse, USA, and released "Welcome Back," which topped the IFPI chart for 6 weeks -- a record since the chart was established.
In March, 1997, she held a concert with the Philharmonic Orchestra. Up to that day, there have only been two singers who have ever held a concert with the band. The first person was Jacky Cheung. Now she is one of the top five female singer in Hong Kong.
