Season 1
Slayers is one of those anime series that mixes action, comedy, and drama nicely. Lina Inverse, the main character has incredible power for her age! She is an expert in black magic. And I guess that's why everyone thinks she is a villan. And she seems to be always reminded of how small her breasts are! ^_^ Other characters like Gourry and Amelia make the show even more hilarious! And Zelgadis is just THE MAN!!!!! Ok....I'm rattling now! But U that should let you tell U how fond I am of this series! +****
Curse of the Undead: Yoma
Everyone loves a good karate or ninja movie right? Well this one is definitely one of the most different and uniqu I have ever seen.^_^. Hikage, a lone ninja, search for his lost friend turns into a battle with some of the most wicked and twisted monsters ever! And what Hikage doesn't know is his friend has joined these evil forces......or has he been posessed? The animation shows it age but still presents some amazing fight scenes. And while the lone warrior fights monsters with super strength and power, Hikage only uses his ninja wits to kill them. Such as his sword, shurikens,knife claw, and a bunch of other neat gadgets he created. The story is very dark and sad which contains some graphic and violent scenes. And some things about the story in the very beginning may seem confusing for this movie never really spells out what exactly is going on. Clues are just spread throughout the story and its pretty much up to your interpretation.The main character Hikage isn't like other anime characters. He rarely ever shows emotion of joy or sorrow in his face. This movie uses a nice mix of a dark and tragic story with stealth ninja battles. Check it out! *****
Oh! My Goddess
This is a really cute little love story. Keichi is one of your average guys....nobody special but not an outcast either. But all that changes when Goddess Belldandy comes through his mirror. She gives him one wish. He can wish for anything he wants.......money, lots of women, cool car, a mansion, etc. But not Keichi, he wishes to have a girl just like Belldandy! Awwwww.....that's so cute! ^_^ And after the wish comes true, Keichi life is never the same. It's a great mix of comedy/romance, but mostly romance. Its not a very expensive series either (1 vol. = $15 dubbed $19.99 subbed) and only consists of 5 volumes! I recommend this to anyone who is a first to the love/romance anime. Its not too mushy but not too silly either. It's a personal favorite of mine.

Dirty Pair Flash
By the time I heard of the original Dirty Pair, FLASH was already available so I went with it instead. And what I found was a strange futuristic series that seemed to have potential to be great but some how got lost in what they wanted the show to be. I don't know if it was because I saw the DUB or what but it just seems this series falls a little short in all categories (except animation). That dub voices are horribles so I would go with the sub if you can help it. But it still doesn't change the fact of a funny looking computer that talks, the wierd-ass boss, boring arguements between Yuri and Kei, and uninteresting episode stories. I will admit the animation was fairly good and the character design is done well. But everything is a little on the weak side. +**
