TLC: Fan Mail |
Just when you thought TLC fell off planet earth, they FINALLY drop an LP! The shocking thing is it was actaully worth the wait! The cd is the first of TLC to grace the PARENTAL ADVISORY warning. This is the first lp TLC helped co-produced. This LP gives all three of them momnets in glory. Most of the tracks are written and produced by Dallas Austin, while guest productions included Jermaine Dupri and Babyface. The tracks show growth but at the same time shows us that the group is the same ol' TLC. Good at being Bad: another sexy hardcore song. Silly Ho: The #1 party song on the LP! Unpretty: The TLC song that has a very important message! ^_^ With those tracks in mind you can see how TLC tries to mix it up. This has to be their best LP!! If you don't have it yet....GET IT!!!! ***** |

Ginuwine: 100% Ginuwine |
Hey blew up the spot with his 31 hit "Pony". And had females going nuts over the gold singles: Tell me do you wanna, I'do anything/I'm sorry, and When Doves Cry! Timbaland beats were the new sound r&b and rap back then, but now many producers since then have learned to copy Timabalnd beats. And this LP clearly shows that nothing can come close to the REAL DEAL. Ginwuine lyrcis and vocals with Timabalnd beats are unmatched! The lyrics most of the songs are excellent. Ginuwine tries to show both sides of every story. What's So Different?: Shows the thoughts of a person who is going out with someone who is already taken! And So Anxious reveals how great love really is! Last but not least you have got to hear FINAL WARNING!! Why is the phone always ringing!!! I could go on and on. The LP is hot. The only thing keeping this LP from getting a perfect score is the couple of tracks that are just ok. But hey.........not even Ginwuine is perfect! +**** |

K-ci & Jojo: It's Real |
Already established as part of Jodeci, Kci and Jojo combine forces and released their duo cd in 1996. It was a smash hit in r&b charts in the beginning with: You bring me up and Last Night's Letter. But the Lp don't blow up until pop stations starting playing "All my life". and it was around 97-98 when that single became a #1 hit. So too many pop fans this LP is coming pretty fast! Kci and Jojo stick to what they are good at. Slow Jams and Ballads. Their mix of gospel and r&b is beautiful! Simnply put, if you liked the first cd you will like this one. Now if you expect Jodeci, you will disappointed. Tracks to listen to: It's Real, Life, Hello Darlin', I Wanna Make Love to You, and How Long Must I Cry. +**** |

Maxwell: Embrya |
Maxwell isn't your everyday-dime-a-dozen R&B singer! His style is a mxture of old school sould and Jazz. No one has his sound. And no he doesn't sound like D'Angelo or Chico Debarge! Is first LP really blew up and he was set to perform for sold out crowds. But then personal family problems kept him from doing that. But now he is back to make amends with the release of this cd. And I have to say it is one of '98- '99 bests! He even sings a little spanish on one of the tracks! The live instruments give you a real nice jazz feel. And his excellent lyrics and vocals give you the jazz feel. Once you start listenin to this cd you may never put it down! ***** |
