After all the lengthy air travels, I decided to just do daytrips with my friends to Newport RI, NH, and Rockport & Wrentham MA throughout the rest of the fall of 2003.  I am also glad to see many of my out of town friends visiting throughout this past year.
Transitions = Birthdays + Goodbyes + Weddings + "One Church, Two Campuses"
2003 has also been a year of much celebrations and changes.  It has been great celebrating with friends in their aging process, I mean, their birthdays.  Also, I got a chance to take tons of pictures of my friends Elaine & Sam, Anna & Paul, and Pris & Dave during their wedding celebrations.  However, I had to say goodbye to friends like Linda (China) and Eric (SoCal).

Other transitions that I am adjusting to are the changes to my church (BCEC in Chinatown
and in Newton) and my responsibilities there.  During the spring, I concluded my Sunday School co-teaching stint with Wendy in the 5th grade realm.  I had the pleasure of teaching some of the layleaders' precocious kids.  In my first year as Secretary deaconess, I had many opportunities to attend very involved deacon meetings where I learned much of the church processes and pastoral involvement while taking copious notes regarding them.

Continuing my 2nd year in the Board of Deacons, I am addressing the Boston Campus' general affairs.  Just recently, I played interior decorator to set up the Christmas decor and provided towel-holding services during the end-of-year baptismal service for 20+ new brothers and sisters in Christ.  Just two months into the role, I am realizing its possible depth and breadth.
Tracking down 2004
Give thanks to the Lord, call on his name; make known among the nations what he has done.  Sing to him, sing praise to him; tell of all his wonderful acts.  Glory in his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice.  Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always.  PSALM 105: 1-4
As 2004 starts, I will be making my usual resolution of losing weight but with a new twist.  Recently I joined a research program in Tufts University.  The program will be monitoring my eating habits and detailing a dietary program designed for weight loss.  This will be an educational experience because it will help me in understanding my eating patterns as well as provide much nutritional information.  So as many typically have a new year's resolution of dieting, I am hoping that this year I will be able to fulfill it.

I hope all is well with you.  Please feel free to drop me a lline via email, snail mail, or a phone call.

Blessings to you!!
