Last DAYS of Prepwork (Yikes!)

Giving Thanks
(Again)!
Thank
you to those who responded to my last update regarding suggestions of cooking
for 80 people and offering air mattresses of varying sizes. This past month, it has been somewhat of a
month of unexpected twists and turns.
However, God is still good and deserves all praise. This will probably be my last update until
I return from Montana. June Update
We had one meeting recently where we
went over recent changes with regards to the possible activities that we are
overseeing. Below is a breakdown of
who’s doing what:
Sidenote: Recently, there were talks of hiring a professional cook to
serve dinner for those coming to Crow to serve throughout the summer. However, the plan fell through and I will resume
responsibility to cook now for one of the days during our stay at Crow. Also, there will still be about 80 (or so)
individuals partaking this meal. So,
I am back to figuring out a meal of sorts. My tentative menu will be as follows: -
Appetizers: Chicken wings -
Main entrees: Pork fried rice with vegetables and Beef chow
mein with broccoli -
Dessert: Almond Jell-O So, I will be coordinating to
have some sauces shipped over and requesting a number of items be purchased
in advance from Billing’s Costco. During the remainder of our meeting,
our team practiced sharing our testimonies to one another. For those (like me) who did not prepare
their testimony in advance, we drafted one to practice sharing. I am still in the works of finalizing mine
at this time of writing (sigh). |

Last DAYS of
Prepwork (Yikes!)
At this time of writing, we have
about EIGHT full DAYS left to prepare for our trip. I still have quite a number of things left to do. I will be sharing my testimony this Sunday
(7/3) at Newton. So, the procrastinator that I am will continue to delay the
process of finalizing my write-up…yes, a bad habit, I admit. We will have our last meeting as
well on Sunday at Newton Campus to finalize any items to be addressed. I am also starting to pack. Thanks to those who have offered to lend
their bed mattresses, I have one now. The challenge is to figure out how
everything will fit into one suitcase. Prayer Requests
Praises
·
My weekly prayer and accountability with a sister
goes well. · The team overall has met their financial fundraising goal. ·
Lastly and most importantly, God is in
control of everything. So, however
and whatever I do, God has been in the driver seat all along. Prayer Needs
-
Admittedly, I was relieved
that I did not have to cook when I read that a cook was hired. Since the change, I am concerned for the
time crunch of preparing for the meal here in Boston and when I arrive in
Billings. I just ask that God just guide me through this interesting turn of
events and logistics. Also, please
pray that I be flexible, humble and patient through the whole process. -
The team as a whole would be
willing and flexible for whatever arises regarding this trip. -
Packing would be complete with
minimal stress. -
Protection and safety in
travel and in Crow. -
Team unity and cohesion -
Flexibility and willingness
to help and serve one another as well as others. -
Sharing God’s love
throughout the week. I was told that
the Crow tribe members do carefully observe us in forms of interaction and
action. May the Holy Spirit truly be
ruling in our hearts through it all. Again, I am very thankful for
your support in prayer and in contribution.
I apologize for the task-oriented tone of this recent newsletter. I hope I will be able to share more of
what God has been doing soon after I return from Crow… Blessings to you!
