TOPIC: MODESTY.
Nov/Dec 1999

I believe that modesty is an attitude not just an action. Also, the clothes we wear should not define who we are and we cannot allow ourselves to judge others by their clothing. Just because you see a girl wearing dresses or skirts all the time doesn't mean she is doing it for God and just because a person may not dress as you think is appropriate doesn't mean they're not Christian. The way a person dresses is between the individual and God. And we should remember that the condition of our heart is much more important than the choice of our clothes.

I think modesty is very important. In fact, the Bible COMMANDS us to dress modestly. Also, we need to act right. How can we girls say we love our brothers in Christ when we do all we can to destroy their faith by how we dress and act. Someone once said "Sight is to a boy what touch is to a girl". that really stuck to me. It's hard for me to keep my thoughts pure, so I'm sure it is for guys too-maybe harder. So before you pick out what you're going to wear today, ask yourself what Jesus would think if He walked by you on the street...
