***Story:***
Yuuki Miaka and her besfriend Yui was sucked in a mysterious book called the shijintenshisho (book of the four gods of heaven and earth) and transported back in the era called the ancient china. Yui transported back to their world, into the library and began reading the book. Miaka, who became the Suzaku no miko (maiden of Suzaku) was given the mission to find the shichiseishi (seven star warriors) to be able to summon Suzaku. There, she met her first love, Tamahome. She met the emperor of Konan, Hotohori who fell in love with her till the end, she also met Nuriko, who is actually a man and who has unbelievable strength. She decided to come back to her world when suddenly Yui took her place and became the Seiryuu no Miko and lately became Miaka's worst rival because of Nakago and her own pride. Yui's loyal shichiseishies were Nakago, Soi, Amiboshi, Suboshi, Miboshi, Tomo and Ashitare.
Never less, Miaka failed to summon the god after Ashitare obtained the shinzaho from her and after Yui tricked her to get the sacred jewel from Tatara. Nuriko and Chiriko died protecting their maiden. They finally arrived to the Byakko temple and the real fight begins. Yui, in the end summoned Seiryuu. Yui tried to separate Miaka from Tamahome but Tamahome holded firm into Miaka making him join her to the real world. Yui was very disappointed. So Suboshi came for her but unfortunately died. Nakago went through after the merciless war in Konan. Hotohori and Mitsukake died during the battle. Chichiri and Tasuki came to the rescue when Miaka was about to be killed and after Tamahome died. She later summoned Suzaku and finished Nakago off. She wished for Yui and to make their world normal again.
The story ends when Tamahome was introduced by Keisuke who has a ring in his finger.

It was actually Taka, who became her boyfriend in the 2 OAVs.
Yui wasn't actually raped. She was only brainwashed.
Miaka wasn't raped also by Nakago. There was a red barrier which protected her.
Amiboshi was still alive and became Kaika. He also disguised himself as Chiriko and deceived them all and messed up the ceremony.
To seal Suzaku. (The Suzaku Warriors lost their powers)
To bring back Miaka and herself to their world.
Let Miaka summon Suzaku (All her seishies came back to life and regained their powers).
To seal off Seiryuu. (She defeated Nakago with the help of the warriors).
To bring back Yui to her.
To bring back her wrecked world into it's original.
