Here are the directions to orienteering locations (Maps) used by the Hamilton Orienteering Club.  However, in some cases there are several possible starting places per Map  (particularly town maps).  Of course, being an Orienteering club, we also have a map of the maps (that are outside of Hamilton)!

Sanatorium Hill 1) This black and white map is also known as Maungakawa Scenic Reserve
33km and is in Maungakawa Rd, north east of Cambridge.  Travelling from
Hamilton go along SH 1 to Cambridge, turn left at the junction with
Cambridge's Victoria St and immediately right across the railway line
into Thornton Rd.  From there follow AA road signs to Maungakawa
Scenic Reserve.
