                       Molly's Birthday

                         Chapter Two

    ~~~~~~~~~~ The Next Day After School At The Arcade~~~~~~~~~~~~~

        School was out, but Serena still had loads to do! Last night, she had felt so bad about
forgetting her best friend's birthday that she decided to make up for it by giving her friend a big
surprise party. Well, actually she needed a surprise party because she didn't really want Molly
to find out that she had forgotten her birthday. She ran to the arcade where her friends
were waiting for her. Amazingly she didn't even get detention today. When she reached the 
arcade, Andrew was on his break. Serena asked him to join the girls because she needed their
help very very badly.

        " You guys gotta bail me out on this one! Please! I'll owe you big! I only have 5 days to plan
Molly's biggest birthday party ever! I need all of you to help! I can't do this alone!" Serena wailed after
she told everyone the whole story of how she totally forgot Molly's birthday and her plan for a surprise 
party so that Molly never finds out about this whole bad incident..

        " We'll all help you Serena! But how can we do everything in just 5 days, I mean we have to make
the invit-" Ami was cut off by Serena.

        " No, probs! I got everything figured out! Just follow my instructions alright?" Serena said.

        " Gee, Meatball-head, I never knew you could do anything right. Are you sure this whole
quote and quote surprise party won't turn out to be a disaster?" Darien had suddenly popped into 
group that surrounded Serena. Andrew gave Darien a hopeless and sorry look. 

        ~ Bright Darien! That was not what you were suppose to say! What happened to all the practices
we had with the mirror? Huh?~ One of Darien's inner voices scold.

        ~ Well, since you already insulted her, why not go just a bit farther? I'm sure a few more insults
wouldn't hurt~ Another voice said.

        ~ She does have feelings you know! Darien, listen to me...Say something nice. Tell her, um tell her
that...her outfit looks great on her! Women love that one!~ The first voice said.

        ~ No! That's a stupid one! I still think you should do a little bit for insulting, I mean, she is really
cute when she's mad isn't she?~ The second voice teased.

        ~ Don't listen to him! He's only going to make your little Serena hate you more~ The first voice commanded.

        ~ Awww! Come on! She never hated you! I bet she even likes it when you tease her.~ The second voice coaxed.

        While poor Darien was trying to decide which voice to listen to, while everyone else held their breathe as they prepared
themselves for another one of the famous Serena out bursts. But to everyone's surprise, Serena didn't lose her temper.

        " Please go away, Darien. I don't have time for you." Serena said calmly, she didn't even bother 
to look up from the papers she was holding in her hand with all the plans written neatly in them.

        Darien didn't like the fact that Serena wasn't even bothering with him, but before he could say something
regretful Andrew came into rescue.

        " You know, Serena....5 days isn't a lot to plan a whole surprise party....Maybe Darien should help?" Andrew
suggested, half expecting Serena to burst into a fit of excuses on why Darien shouldn't help them.

        " You're right. Darien would you like to help me? Please?" Serena said.

        Everyone's jaw dropped, including Darien who couldn't even believe his ear.

        " Of course he'll help! Now let's get started!" Andrew said.

        ~ Wow! My little angel just asked me to help her? This must be a dream.~ Darien thought.

        " Okay, here's the plan. Andrew can we borrow the arcade on Sunday for Mol's birthday? I would
have to party at my house, but dad's having a huge business meeting and so there's no room." Serena asked.

        " Sorry, sere. But the boss is having the arcade re-painted on Sunday since there's less customers that
day..." Andrew said sadly.

            Serena's face immediately feel. She looked like she was about to burst into a waterfall.

        " You can have the party at my apartment." Darien cut in.

        " Um, are you sure Darien? I mean, there might be a huge mess afterward and all." Serena began, but Darien
waved his hand telling her that it's alright.

        " THANK YOU!" Serena squealed in delight.

        " Okay, let's continue....Lita can you take care of the food?" Serena asked.

        " No problem, but what should I make?" Lita asked.

        " A huge chocolate cake with your special extra sweet dark fudge as icing. And your special fruit punch...
hold on......" Serena began to look through the papers she had in her hand. " Here's a list of what you should make."

        " Is there anything else Sere? This is a big list, I better get started now! I need to buy some things first too." 

        " That's all for now, Lita. You can get started. Thank you so much!" Serena said as Lita departed from the
group to do some shopping.

        " Ami, can you take care of the invitations? Do you think you can get all of them out before....Friday?"

        " No problem, this is great Serena! With the new F32 super laser computer software that I got,
I can program it to sent all the invitations and make sure that they all get them before Wednesday!" Ami said.

        Everyone sweat dropped. Ami blushed.

        " Um, yeah Ami, that's great! Here's the list of peeps, and here's the what the invitation should say. I know
that a lot of the peeps on the list have to baby-sit on Sunday, but tell them they can bring their kids too." Serena said.

        " Andrew, can you get some games for the kids that might be coming? I have some dollies and toys for the girls and
I can borrow Sammy's Nintendo, but I think I need a few more games and..." 

        " I gotta ya, Sere! No problem! I think I might even be able to borrow some games from the arcade!"

        " Thanks! Mina, do you think you can be in charge of the music? I know how many CD's you have!"

        " Yup! I'll have them ready before Wednesday!" Mina chimed.

        " Rei and I can do the decorations." Serena said. " Now, we're done."

        " Wait, what should I do?" Darien suddenly asked.

        " Nothing, you already let us used your apartment." Serena smiled.

        " Yeah, but I still think I should help somehow." Darien said.

        ~ Hmm....It seems that this is a really good time for Darien and Serena to get together.~ Andrew, Mina
and Rei all thought. (Poor Ami is still thinking about how she can program her computer to sent the invitations 
before Wednesday. That's Ami for ya!)

        " You know Serena, I need some help with organizing the music!" Mina suddenly said.

        " Hey, I got it! Why don't I go and help Mina with her CD's. You know how Mina can't possibly 
get all of them together. Why don't you and Darien do the decorations? Since it is his apartment! He's more
familiar with it than me. I mean, you know. He can tell you where you're allowed to use the space and things." Rei continued.

         " Yeah, I mean, won't it be awkward decorating Darien's apartment with him in the way and things?" Andrew said.

        Serena eyed them suspiciously. " Why are you three acting so weird?"

        " Us? No, I mean not really, Serena come on! We're only trying to help you organize Mol's birthday!" Rei said in 
an innocent voice.

        " Yeah, Meatball head! That way, I'll feel like I've helped." Darien put on his big silly grin.

        " Okay, but under one condition." Serena said.

        " What?" Darien asked.

        " You can't call me Meatball head!" Serena yelled.

        Everyone smiled.

        " Deal!" 

        " Let's all go and get started now! Come on, Darien! We need to go shopping!" Serena said as she
dragged Darien to the way of the local mall.  

        As everyone began to leave, Andrew said, "Guys, wait!"

        Everyone turned their heads.

        "Is it just me or do you guys see a soon to be wedded couple here?" Andrew asked.

        Immediately, Mina and Rei grinned. But Ami being our innocent girl asked, " I think it's just you. Why?"

        ~~~Groans~~~

        " Don't mind her, but I see what you mean, Andrew. But I think our lovely couple needs a little push." Mina said.

        " It won't be hard since they're going to be "together" for some time." Rei said.

        " Will someone tell me what's going on? I don't see any soon to be wedded couples!" Ami yelled. 

        " AMI! Come on girl! You're the one with the brains! Use them!" Rei scolded.
