Resident Evil 3
Resident Evil 3
A month and a half has passed since the incident. September has come to Raccoon City, a small industrial city in the American Midwest. People are starting to forget the chaos at the mansion as their lives return to normal.
The bizarre incident that occurred in the Arclay Mountains, the destruction of the special taskforce S.T.A.R.S., Umbrella's secret biological weapons laboratory hidden in an old mansion, the power of the T-Virus that turns humans and animals into horrible monsters... how could it all happen here?
People could not believe the survivors' reports. Stories of their incredible experiences and of strange biological weapons and zombies were beyond the townsfolks' imagination. The surviving S.T.A.R.S. team members headed to Europe even before the town heard the full details of what had happened.
They hoped it was all over. But then it happened again. Suddenly a series of inexplicable murders occurred and a strange disease began invading neighborhoods. T-Virus was flowing into the city...
The invisible plague snuck up silently and turned the unsuspecting citizens into monsters. People cursed their foolishness, but the nightmare had already begun. The future was out of their control.
Raccoon City was on the brink of collapse...
RE3... Out of all the Resident Evils games I've played, this is the one I payed the least attention to. Is it a bad game? No... I just don't remember most of it. I was in a hurry to beat it and don't remember many details (and I never beat it either... got as far as the clock tower?). I do remember being paranoid endlessly about a particular bus in the game... I thought something would bust out of its windows. Of course, nothing ever does... till I decide nothing would ever bust through and then I run by and crows bust out and scare me half to death. But that's a different story.
In RE3, you are playing Jill again. A goofy guy named Carlos (and his group of possibly Russian friends) join her. He's part of the Umbrella Countermeasure Force. They're brought in when the virus breaks loose in Raccoon City. He finds Jill injured and *gasp* infected by the G-Virus. So, he goes off to get an antidote for Jill... but it's not as easy as it seems with Nemesis, a huge zombie going about rasping "...STARS... STARS..." I thought Nemesis was great. Nemesis is a constant threat throughout the entire game. You probably end up fighting him like ten times. He's sort of like the Tyrants from previous game, but he's faster and he will chase you from room to room if you don't kill him (Wheee~! Try to run away and see him tear down wall to come after you!).
