Seiko's
second album produced one single, "Kaze Wa Aiiro" /
"Eighteen." The North Wind album was released very quickly
after her debut album "Squall" (exactly four months),
and "Silhouette" would follow five months later. By
the end of 1981...her second full year as a performer...Seiko had
given her fans four original albums, seven singles, and her first
"collection" album, "Seiko Fragrance." She
continued to release two new albums every year through the end
of 1985, also ending that year with the release of her 21st single
"Tenshi no Wink." How did Seiko become popular? She
worked hard and gave 100% of herself at all times. The fans appreciated
her talent but they admired her spirit even more. No matter what
you read in the press, nothing can ever diminish the extraordinary
commitment that Seiko has given to her work. Her personal life
is irrelevant, and the jornalists who continue to attack her should
look closely at their own well kept secrets and decide how well
they would hold up under public scrutiny. As Joe Perry from Aerosmith
once wrote, "Let the music do the talking."
You can
find selected songs from "North Wind" on the following
Bible collections: Bible I (Kaze Wa Aiiro, Only My Love)...Bible
III (Eighteen)...Complete Bible (Kaze Wa Aiiro, Eighteen).
