My Little Summary: In "The Rules of the Game" Louis plays a characted named David. David owns a autobody shop with his three friends (Sam, Simon, and William). William's sister played by ATV actress Kristy Yeung. You may remember her from her character in ATV's "My Date With A Vampire" (Wor wa geung see you gor yeuk wui) or her parts in the both the movies "Storm Riders" (Fung Wung) and "A Man from China called Hero" (Chung Wah Yin Hung). Her character is named Ann. David and Ann grew up together and are in a puppy love kinda relationship. Ann works at a Night Club as a PR but only drinks and sings with the customers nothing else. While working there she meets a Brother (Fong Jung Shung) from a Triad who gets interested in Ann. He sends her flowers and cards to woo her. David gets jealous and one night while celebrating David's birthday they see the Brother and they get into a fight and David's friend (Sam) is seriously hurt. Sam's character is paralyzed for life and can't speak. David wants revenge and joins a triad. While David is planning revenge Ann gets closer to Fong Jung Shung's character and they are in love. Well happiness doesn't last forever and well I'm not going to ruin the ending so go buy the VCD and see what happens for yourself.
Summary from the back of the VCD cover: Because of a girl Ann. David is badly hit by a triad kingpin. He continues to take revenge. David is captured by the kingpin to face the punishment of the triad society.......
Review: I must say this is one of my favoritest Louis movies so far!! "The Rules of the Game" is rated III but only because it talks about triads. Theres nothing bad in the movie at all. I really loved this movie and wished David and Ann were together because Louis and Kristy really look good as a couple. (Just my opinion ok?) Louis really good on the cover huh? I must say very handsome lang jai ar!! Yet he also looks a little evil hehe perfect cover for this VCD. The movie comes in the a pretty box above with Louis, Kristy, and Fong Jung Shung in front then with Ray, William, Sam, and some other guy i don't know his name in the back standing. I think Louis' acting was really good in this movie better than in the "Troublesome Night" ones probably because those roles don't challenge his acting.
