Showdown

(Shon Yun vs. Goten)

Finally I can get a real challenge, Shon thought to him self as he stood in front of a younger, powerful adversary. He could barely contain his excitement as he set his stance. Goten cracked his knuckles and his joints. His mother taught he bowing to his opponent as, he set in his stance.

Nao stepped on to the ring.

"Begin."

Goten was taken aback by the suddenness of Shon's attack. His defense was solid but the attack was hard and strong. Loud cracking was heard as their fists collided together. Their attack and counter separated them as they kicked each other at the same time. Though they were all training, none of the students could focus fast enough to see the skill that was being used. Nao was the only one that could see all the action. They both recovered and set their stances.

This is great! I haven't had a fight like this since Taus. Let's see where his power is.

Shon phased out of sight, reappearing in front of Goten. The surprised Goten, backflipped and charged Shon. He punched Shon in the jaw. It sounded like thunder. Shon wasn't phased by it at all. He grabbed Goten's hand, pulling him forward, and punched him in the stomach, sending him to his knees. Jumping with his hands clasped above his head brought them down hoping to knock his opponent senseless. Goten quickly recovered from the hit to his stomach and brought his hands up in a x barely blocking the blow. Goten fell to his back and swept Shon's feet out from under him and bounced back to his feet. Shon flipped back to recover and stood his ground smiling.

Goten had a new respect for this new guy. But the respect was going to be returned. He smiled at Shon and turned his expression to stone.

It's time to turn up the heat.

"HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"

The ground shook as his power increased to a new level. The students looked around wondering, as the building seemed as if it was going to collapse. As Goten finished powering up he was indeed stronger but he didn't go Super Saiyajin.

Gokou stood next to Kuririn concentrating on the ki build up. "We better check this out." Placing his fingers on his forehead, Gokou centered his attention on Goten and pictured his youngest son and where he was. Placing his hand on his old friend's shoulder. They disappeared from sight.

No.18 continued to read her book.

Shon stood his ground exhilarated by this new level of power he was experiencing.

This is it! Its time to work for real!

"HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"

The whole area shook with greater intensity with Shon increasing his ki to a level more appropriate for this fight.

Goten was surprised by his increase. This guy is definitely NOT local.

Gokou and Kuririn appeared next to Nao as Shon started to power up. "Gokou! You're just in time. Hello, Kuririn." They both acknowledge his greeting and watched as this duel got intense. Both Shon and Goten charged each other and continued their furious exchange. Shon blocked and countered each of Goten's moves. Neither one of them gave an inch to the other as they moved to fast for the students to see. Goten phased and reappeared with an extended left fist barely missing Shon's head. His right hand was open and blocking a blow to his midsection. They both phased out of sight again and reappearing on the edge of the ring. The students held their ears as thunder clapped louder right in front of them. Goten and his slightly larger opponent stood their ground as their fists smacked together.

"Nao, Who is this guy?" Kuririn asked.

"He just showed up two weeks ago. He's a damn good fighter and he could have taken me when he came here. He's way out of my league and definitely able to hang with you guys. His name is Shon Yun and he is good."
Gokou watched his son struggle with this Shon. He was glad to see that someone was challenging his son and hoped that Goten lost so he would understand what he said. Goten wont win this. Gokou smiled, "I'd like to test his full power." Nao and Kuririn looked at each other then to Gokou. "His full power?"

Goten launched into a flurry of punches and kicks, which were blocked and countered yet again. They separated and charged again. Shon phased and reappeared catching Goten's extended fist. Turning his back to his opponent, he elbowed Goten in the stomach and flipped him over his shoulder and phased out of sight. Goten recovered barely to be blasted in the back by Shon's kick and was plastered into the wall on the other side. Shon charged Goten and stopped short as he sensed an even greater power very near. He looked around to find it but found something else.

"HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" Shon looked at Goten to see a tremendous change. His body increased in mass and his hair changed color from jet black to blonde. His eyes became sky blue. The wall around him blasted away as he charged to his full power. Shon stood looking at the young warrior. His excitement and fear were boiling together. Gokou stood looking at the two of them.

Goten floated to the ring and landed on the edge of the ring. Setting in a defensive stance and smirked at Shon "Let's go to work." As they charged at each other, instantly Gokou was between them blocking the blows they were issuing to each other. Gripping each fist, he thought of the desert where Gohan defeated Cel.

They were gone without a trace. Kuririn stood with his arms crossed, "He better come back and get me." Nao and Kuririn Both felt a hand on their shoulders.

Kaji turned to the sensei "Where did they…"

The sensei was nowhere in sight. Kaji stood wondering where they all went so fast.

"Excuse me, son." An older gentleman at the entrance to the hall interrupted Kaji's concentration. "I'm looking for a young man named Son Goten and his father Son Gokou. Have you seen them?" "They left just a minute ago." "Which way did the go?" The whole class shrugged. "Damn." MutenRoshi walked out of the dojo scratching his head. Now where did they go off to now?"

The sudden change in location made them stop in midswing as they both looked around. They looked at each other quizzically wondering how they got here.

"So, what are you waiting for? Fight!" Gokou yelled to them. As if on cue, Goten blasted Shon with a one-two combination. Shon realizing the fight was continuing caught Goten's hands as they were coming down on his head. He pushed them back in the air and planted his left foot in Goten's chest kicking him with his right as he flipped over. As he landed he charged his stunned adversary. Goten recovered and phased as Shon struck air. He turned and barely blocked a blow and was sent flying. Recovering, he shot up into the air and powered up a little higher. Goten flew to meet him.

"HAAAAAAAA!" Goten was faced with a blast of white heat as the ki blast came toward him. He smirked, "You have to do better than this," he commented as he smacked it away. As he looked to his opponent, there were two Shons in front of him.

"How's this?" they said simultaneously as the Both blasted him at point blank range.

Goten was stunned by the ki blasts and fell to the ground recovering in time to phase as multiple ki balls raining down on him from above. The two Shons phased also as Goten's fist went through where he was. He turned to meet a steel like fist in the jaw followed by a knee to his gut. Shon then grabbed Goten's hand and started turning around in circles. He released Goten sending him crashing into rocks below.

Gokou shook his head "Lazy boy."

"HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" Goten shot up out of the rocks straight at Shon plowing into him. Shon lost his breath as Goten drilled into his stomach repeatedly. Each blow was enough to shatter rocks. Goten kept pounding away. Shon smiled as he grabbed his hands and kneed the younger fighter in the face sending him down to the ground. Goten stood looking at Shon smiling.

"KA-ME-HA-ME-HAAAAAAAAAAA!" Goten shot his ki blast at his adversary.

Shon smiled and returned the favor. "SHO-TEN-HA-SE-KI-HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" Gokou and Kuririn were shocked by Shon's return fire. "Goten's gonna lose this one, Gokou. Are you gonna stop it," Kuririn asked his longtime friend? "No it will be good for him to loose this one. Besides, if it gets outta hand then I'll step in. Goten is doing fine but he's not pushing it to the limits." Nao nodded in agreement with Gokou.

Shon's blast was bigger than Goten's and Held it to a stand still. Goten felt he was losing. NO! I will NOT lose! "HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" Goten pushed more into his blast and gaining little ground against the larger blast. A devious smile crossed Shon's face as he decreased the power in his blast. Goten pushed more, feeling he was winning the standoff. As Shon's blast got smaller Goten pushed more. Goten lightened up as his Kamehameha flew unblocked by the weaker blast. "He'll be up there for a while." He looked surprised as two Shons phased in front of him. Goten looked surprised, "Oh no." Shon's left was blocked as his duplicate followed with a ki blast Goten's back. Shon then kicked his smaller opponent in the stomach following it with a uppercut right cross combo. The duplicate Shon followed with his own combo sending the unconscious Goten flying embedding him into the side of a mountain. Shon merged and stood ready for another wave of attacks. When none came he looked at his surroundings. "Where am I now?"

He looked around to see three people standing there. One of them looked like the first sensei. He flew to over to them setting down in front of them.

"That was fun I haven't had a workout like that in two months. Who are these two, Sensei? Are they gonna fight me too?" He started to tense up again setting in a defensive stance.

"Relax, Shon. These are my Friends and so is the one you just beat. The one you plastered into the wall was Goten. This is Kuririn, and this is Goten's father, Gokou."
Gokou and Shon locked eyes and didn't move. They were oblivious to everything around them. Shon started sweating more than he did during the fight with Goten.
This power is awesome. "Nice techniques, especially the split move," Gokou commented. "Thank you," he said humbly. "I bet you can teach me more." "Maybe. That's a possibility. But I do want to know one thing. What are you doing on this planet? I didn't think they're were any more Saiyajin left except for myself, Vegeta and our families."

"Saiyajin?" both Kuririn and Nao said in surprise. Kuririn then noticed the brown belt around his waist was not a belt at all but his tail. "Of course!" Kuririn exclaimed, "I should have known there was something different about you at the Dojo. Only three humans could ever come close to matching the speed of the Saiyajin and I'm one of them. I felt your ki when we showed up and I thought Yamcha had grown his hair long again and gotten a lot stronger. But I didn't think another Saiyajin had came here."

Shon let his tail relax and looked to where he left Goten. "He's fine," Gokou commented "he'll get up in a few minutes. I told him to train harder. This fight would have been much longer if he had. But I guess you gotta lose sometime. But that's his fault. So what brings you to our little corner of the galaxy?"

Shon's face went from light to dark. "I'm looking for Freeza."

Silence crept up and stood there with them.

Goten rubbed his aching jaw as he sat up. The throbbing pain added aches from training with his father. "Man, that guy can hit. Where the hell did he come from?" moving a few boulders off of his legs, he flew to where Gokou and Kuririn were standing with Nao and Shon. "I know I am never going to hear the end of this." He landed next to Nao looking down at the ground.

"Who's Freeza?" Nao asked.

"Someone who has been dead for years," Gokou replied.

"Dead? That can't be. How did this happen? Who killed him?"
"This is going to be a long story so I think we better go some where so we can relax." On that note, Gokou touched Goten's shoulder. "Everyone grab a hand." As they all touched hands, They were instantly back at Kuririn's place. No. 18 was still reading her book.
"Well did you two have fun?" she asked not looking up from her book. "Actually we did. Would you get something to drink please? We have guests." No. 18 looked up from her book seeing the three now faces and then looked at Kuririn with a cocked eyebrow. She stood and walked to the house.

"I'll go get the bath ready for us." Kuririn went to the bath and got things ready for him and his guests and returned at the same time No. 18 did.

"The bath is ready, fellas. Shall we go and relax?"
They accepted their drinks from 18 and went to the bath.

Goten sank into he soothing water with a huge sigh. "Man, what a day. First, my dad thrashes me then I get stomped by this new guy. This is not my day." "That's why you should practice harder." Gokou scolded. "Like I told you, there are people out there that are stronger than us. And you never underestimate your opponent. That's why you lost." Goten pouted and remained quiet. Gokou turned to Shon and saw that he did not seem to enjoy this relaxing time. "What's wrong, Shon? You look like you are deep in thought."

"All the time I have trained and trained was for nothing. I traveled so far to take my revenge just to hear the object of my revenge is dead. What am I going to do now?"

"Well, all there is left to do is train," Gokou answered. "When do ya wanna get started? There are two weeks until the Budoukai and I know Vegeta is training as hard as I do."

"Vegeta?"
"You'll meet him soon enough as well as Picolo, Gohan, and the others." "It should be interesting to see how good I am against others in this Budoukai. Not many people are as strong as we are."

"Yeah you have a point there," Kuririn chuckled. "Although Mr. Satan would have the world think that there is no one that can touch him."

"Mr. Satan?" Shon asked.

"That's someone else that you will meet." Nao added" He's the current champion of the Budoukai 6 years running." "Yeah and a fool if you ask me. He couldn't even beat little Pan."
"Well anyway, we will get to work tomorrow. I can't wait to see what you can do." Gokou said to Shon with that gleam in his eye that Goten knew all to well. The next two weeks are gonna be long, real long. 1
