Name: Amano Hiraku
The professional otaku/pilot of the Aestivalis.

This little redhead is funny.  A writer of some saucy fanzines and doujinshi, she is one of the big fans of Genkigander III on board.  When she first appeared, she fell on Akito, crying her eyes out after listening to Joe's death scene in the ventilation shaft above Akito.  Her movements in front of Akito were so anime-esque, I just fell on the floor giggling at them.

Along with her flightmate, Izumi, she jokes and teases poor Ryoko about her constant use of Akito's last name as a distress call.  She, however, has no romantic connection with the cook/pilot in question.  She's just makes up the part of the wacked-out crew factor.

How whacked out, you asked?  She sings the theme to Genkigander for the talent portion of the idol singer contest while wearing a cosplay outfit designed after Joe's battle attire.

She does, however, have a slight romantic interlude with, of all people, Seiya.  Both of them share a love for model building.  She was very impressed by Seiya's realistic (made-from-) scratch models of the Aestivalis and helps him with the models and, of course, the diaorama to place the models on the make mock battles.  When the mood turned more romantic, Hikaru places her glasses back on and walks out of the room, leaving Seiya with his models.  A touching scene.
