Designed by British Architect, Norman Foster, Hong Kong International replaced the Old Airport located in Kowloon in 1998. This building contains the world's largest room enclosed under one roof. To solve the problem of land area needed to build a large airport, the airport is built on partially reclaimed island on Lantau Island.
As for
the facilities in the terminal, there are many shops located in the terminal.
The terminal is also connected to the MTR Train that connects to both Hong
Kong Island and Kowloon.
