Incheon International - ICN

Introduction

Designed by Fentress Bradburn , this airport opened its door for passenger service in 2001. This airport is intended to service all international flights to and from Seoul, replacing the old airport, Gimpo. The ultimate goal is to become the premier hub for Northeast Asia. Similar to Hong Kong and Kansai, this airport is built on reclaimed land.

The high roof design is stunning, however it is relatively difficult to air conditioned, i.e. it's hot inside. As for the facilities in the terminal, there are many shops both outside and inside the terminal, providing travelers with something to do during their layover. The terminal is also connected to a convenient train connecting to Seoul.
