Atami is a smallish resort city a couple of hours south of Tokyo. Like most resorts in Japan Atami is famous for good hotels, good food, and good onsen. But on my trip there I found these statues at the old castle. They're reproductions and were just sitting around seemingly waiting to be thrown away. Had I a house at the time I might have tried to acquire them.
