Princess Kakyuu
Her Story :: Manga
Thank you Evan Gepplar for translating Volume 16 for me! I appreciate it greatly!

     When Sailorgalaxia attacked Kinmokusei-Kakyuu's planet-during the Sailor Wars, Kakyuu was injured and her planet was destroyed. Hoping to protect Kakyuu from death, her gaurdians-the Starlights-and the princess escaped but got seperated. Kakyuu hid in Chibichibi's incense burner until she could fully recover from her injuries. But she has a mission on Earth...she must work with Sailormoon to destroy Sailorgalaxia and save the universe.
[Skip to End]

     In the manga, Princess Kakyuu is also a sailor senshi - Sailorkakyuu. She transforms with "Kinmoku Star Power! Make Up!" A battle ensues between Chi & Phi and Sailorkakyuu. Sailorkakyuu destroys Phi with her attack "Starlights Royal Straight Flush!" Enraged, Chi drives her staff into Sailorkakyuu's back.
     Kakyuu does not appear again after that, though we understand she is alive and well on Kinmokusei again thanks to the victor of Sailormoon over Sailor Galaxia.

Her Story :: Anime
     Princess Kakyuu knew that the only way to stop Galaxia and save the universe was to find the Light of Hope. She went to Earth, hoping to find it, and hid in Chibichibi's incense burner. She watches over the Starlights and Sailormoon, but cannot show herself for fear of being seen by Galaxia.

[Skip to End]

     Galaxia attempts to destroy Kakyuu, but she puts up a sort of shield to protect herself, the Starlights, and the sailor senshi. Since Galaxia is more powerful, Kakyuu is eventually overwhelmed. Before she fades away, Kakyuu encourages the Starlights and the senshi to fight together to destroy Galaxia.
She later appears with the Starlights, thanking Sailormoon before returning to Kinmoku.

How Punny!
     In the anime, the Starlights get clues of Princess Kakyuu's presence when the keep catching "the fragrance of olives." Kinmokusei, Kakyuu's planet, literally means "Fragrant Olives." Kakyuu also has the symbol of an olive on her forehead. I thought perhaps Kakyuu was a sort of pun too, but when I looked it up in a J->E Dictionary I didn't get anything related to olives. x.x

Opinionated
     Kakyuu is such a beautiful character, both physically and personality wise. She is just an all around cool character ^.^ And dontcha just LOVE her slippers?! Her appearance was just too short, but I suppose appropriate for her role in the story. :T
