An Explanation of Blood Types

Did you ever wonder why in many anime art books or guides the character's blood type is listed? Well this is because the Japanese beleive blood types determine your personality and are used in fortune telling. (Much like Zodiac signs.) The blood-type of a person is determined by the kind of antigen, (a type of protein), that is on the surface of the red blood cells. A person that has an "A" antigen is blood-type A. A person that has a "B" antigen, is blood-type B. If the person has both they are blood-type AB and if they don't have either then they are blood-type O. A person's blood type can also be either positive "+", or negative "-" based on the blood's Rh factor. (Negative blood types are rarer.) The Following is a list of the belived traits for the four major blood types. I only have official bloodtypes for 11 Slayers characters (I have them listed below) any blood types for other characters listed in the character bios section were thought up by me based on the character's personality. ^_^

Note: In Japan the most common blood type is "A+" and here in the U.S. it's "O+"

Type A:

Positives:
Law-abiding, honest, deligent, orderly, fastidious, methodical, steady, loyal, and fasionable

Negatives:
Picky, selfish, secretive, soft-spoken, pessimistic, inflexible, a gossip, and reckless when drunk ^_^

Type B:

Positives:
Outgoing, original, optimistic, adventurous, independant, flexible, candid, persuasive, and passionate

Negatives:
Fickle, unpredictible, indescreet, overbearing, imaptient, and lazy

Type AB:

Positives:
Diplomatic, sociable, rational, sensitive, honest, organizied, and strong

Negatives:
Proud, discriminating, calculating, a playboy (Or girl ^_^), easily offended, a nitpiker, too conservative, and hard to know

Type O:

Positives:
Healthy, durable, resolute, emotional, entusiastic, athletic, sexy, goal-oriented, and clear-sighted

Negatives:
Status-seeking, insecure, workaholic, shy, idealistic, unreliable, greedy, jealous, obsessive lover, and can't shut up
