Party Time!

Slumber Party & extra:
okay, before I talk about the slumber party, I'm gonna talk briefly about NightWalker episodes 3 and 4. Definitely 4 because I don't remember if I saw episode 3. Right now I can't, for the life of me, figure out when I saw these episodes. I really wanted to see episode 4 because I read somebody's reaction to a certain flashback and I wanted to see what's up. So I'm watching and the cue finally comes for the flashback. I'm expecting a little lovin', lovin'. Well…I got the lovin'. It was just that it was a ménage à trois. Oh well, I'll make do. Anyway, the episode was cool and I was slightly saddened at the fate of one character. Oh well.

Okay! Slumber party! So the schedules are thrown out of whack again and I can't remember anything. So while waiting for the party to begin, I know we watched a bunch of fillers. We watch these promotional clips for Wish (kawaii!), a highly humorous video with different anime shows (loved the clip from Mahou Tsukai Tai when Aburatsubo pushes Sae out of the way and kisses Takeo -everybody was laughing). I know I saw a music video from Two-Mix (animated) to the tune of 'White Reflection' (I don't know if it was before or during the slumber party). There was a beautiful one from a show that is by the creator of Totoro, Kiki's Delivery Service, etc. It deals with that angel girl and those two guys. It was nice. There was also a clip from when a singer sang a song from the Escaflowne movie. Pretty song. And that's all I really remember from that.

Slumber party time:

The first show was Saber Marionette J. That was a really funny show. I enjoyed it a lot. The beginning was hilarious with Otaru's dream sequence with Cherry and how Cherry suddenly turns into Hanagata. All of us were laughing our heads off at what followed. After one episode, I can say that I liked all the characters. Lime is just so adorable when she tries to make breakfast for Otaru and how she's so proud that the food she makes moves and wiggles. Then there's Hanagata…heh…he's something else and I know what he's capable of. It was funny watching him and Lime fight each other. Cherry is cute. She tries so hard to have patience. Her fantasies with Otaru are just plain hilarious. And then there's the whole prince-save-the-damsel-in-distress plan she cooked up to bring Otaru over. Overall a comical show. I'd like to see more of it.

The next show on the lineup was Love Hina. That was also cute. I like the theme song and I wanted to sing along, but the song is really fast. The show is a bit perverted, but it's entertaining. I liked the part near the end where the guy (forgot the name already) finally gets his own bath, but the one girl (I only remember Kitsune) sees him and, even though he did nothing wrong, punches him and he goes flying. What made the scene funnier was that he was on the balcony and she was on the ground. In addition, when he went flying he's, like, how can she punch that far? (reach the distance). I think this was the show where the guy keeps getting punched and goes flying everywhere. I really liked it.

The next show I remember is Slayers. I'm pretty sure there was a show between the two, but I can't remember a thing. I think there was a line saying, "How can you laugh like that?" but that could be Slayers or something that I made up (I highly doubt it). Either way, I'm drawing a blank. So, if anybody was at the slumber party and remembers…HELP! And if there wasn't a show, please tell me. It would greatly ease my mind.

Slayers: another highly comical show that I've heard a lot about. This episode was just pure nonsense. I was dying every time the villagers would run around frightened at the sound of Naga's laugh. It was too funny. Then to have to deal with clones just like her and mimic her laugh? Yeah, I'd faint too, Lina. So that was just pure fluff watching all the clone-Nagas following Naga, who's trying to find Lina, and they're all laughing the entire time! I liked it and I'd see more of it.

Next! Outlaw Star (episode 5). I've seen Outlaw Star. I liked Outlaw Star. I found it interesting to hear the Japanese voices after listening and being used to the dubbed voices. Very few of the voices sounded relatively the same, but there were many differences. Only the narrators sounded remotely alike. However, I prefer Gilliam's voice in the dub. There's just something about his voice that is more endearing. So I can't really give much because I've seen the show…next!

The next show to be seen was Bakurestu Hunters. That was the one show on the block (besides Love Hina) that I really wanted to see. I enjoyed it. Carrot is just too odd when chasing after the various girls, but at times, he can be a real sweetheart. It was nice to see, early on, how strong the bond between Tira and Chocolate is. I kinda liked that siblings theme. All the characters are really nifty and Chocolate does know how to use that wire (I envy her). And then in the time of drama comes the unexpected comedy. Carrot's speech at the end was sounding so nice until he mentioned Marron and saying that he needed attention because he's a closet pervert. Oh gosh! To top things off, big stud Gateau just had to ask Marron if that's true…we, then, hear the ensuing commotion. Another show that I was glad to see after following it off the Internet.

The last show I saw but not the last one on the block was Angel Links. Now I kinda drifted off because I was tired, cold, hungry, and my bottom was sore from sitting for so long. The show was okay. There was a cameo by Fred Luo from Outlaw Star. The show was okay. I remember having sarcastic thoughts about that little creature living in the main character's chest. Oh and don't forget the obligatory cleavage dance when a character does the slightest movement. So that's all I can really remember. I also remember two bishonen, a little girl that bugged me a bit, and something about the main character actually being…I won't spoil you.

Great news! I just remembered the anime show I saw. I don't remember the title, but I accidentally fused it with Angel Links. I also spaced out a bit for this show too. I also remember some good looking guys, a well-commanded fleet, a very polite prince who asked this girl her name. She goes into this whole spiel on what she should be called and he's the first to ask her what her name is and whatnot. I just remember a part where her dad tricked her into believing that the person he shared his DNA or whatever with was a cat. Basically, her 'mom' was a cat. It freaked everybody out, but it was funny none the less. So that's all I really remember. Oh, and the crew was gonna get attacked.

The End!
