FAQ 6 Part A: Introduction |
Introduction |
This FAQ talks about several programs that are not already detailed in other FAQs. Programs like Flmask (FAQ 1) or SBNews (FAQ 2) are not listed here because they each have entire FAQs of their own.
This FAQ includes: ACDSee, LviewPro, Anawave Websnake, Changename 5.0, Dpeg, Lha, Wincode, Picaview32, PGP, virus scanners, and a few other useful programs. Other miscellaneous stuff is included as well, like Japanese viewers.
Some urls might not be working because they do die off in time. Be assured I found all (except Dpeg) very easily using a search engine, www.tucows.com, or www.freeware.com (or www.download.com), so you can too. http://www.aebc.com/utilities.html is another utility page with a few tools. Of these, tucows is the best. It is one of the top 5 most visited sites on the internet, with 300 million hits a month.
16-bit normally means Win 3.1 or Win NT. 32-bit normally means Win 95 or Win NT.
