Descent 1 and 2 are pretty enjoyable provided you can handle the added complexity of this game. This is because unlike related games like Quake, Doom, Duke Nukem, or Hexen, in Descent you can completely turn in four directions (up, down, left, right). Most other games only let you turn mainly left or right. However, if you learn to use my recommended setup, you should do fine. ;)

What's nice about Descent is that people are always making new levels. In fact, Parallax (the company that makes Descent) has released 10 free levels to add on to Descent 2:
