The Clemenceau class stealth carrier is the second generation of the obsolete ARMD class battle platforms. Because the design of the ARMD platforms were sound but just lacked the advanced technology, the design of the Clemenceau class ships bears a similar resemblance to it's predecessor. However it's internal circuitry, weapons, etc... have all been upgraded with the advanced Overtechnology to make it a powerful vessel well capable of taking punishment as well as dealing them out. Althrough it was designed in the early 2030's, it is still being produced in large numbers and used in a variety of roles, it's primary one being the stalwart defenders of fleets and colonies. 

Despite it'a relatively small size compared to the larger Ark Royal and Macross battle carriers, it has within it's hull a formidible amount of weapon systems and variable fighters. It has the capabilities of long range combat as well as close in fighting, making it one of the most versitile vessels in the UN spacy fleet. As with all other UN spacy combat vessels, it has the instalment of Pinpoint Barrier Defense System which provide it with vast defensive abilities. It has particle guns, missile launchers, Phalanx defense system, and approximetely 10 squadrons of variable fighters. It has proved itself in many conflicts, whether it was against Zentraedi malcontents or the Varuta, it has fought at the fore front with strength and valor.
